Bellevue College Selected Mitel to Provide Call Center Services
1 March 2012
Bellevue College, Washington State’s third largest institution of higher learning, has chosen Mitel, a Canada-based developer of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software solutions, to provide call center services for the institution.
Mitel's Freedom Architecture will become the foundation of the college’s call center infrastructure. Bellevue College was looking for a solution to manage voice communications with UC features that could integrate with the existing communications platform.
Bellevue’s call center should handle the requirements of the institution with 38,000 students, “projected to grow as the school implements expansion plans.”
To reduce deployment and maintenance costs, the institution required a flexible and scalable solution to work with the existing campus communications network.
The UCC solution based on Mitel's Freedom Architecture was installed over Bellevue’s current Microsoft Exchange 2010 Unified Messaging and Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) platform.
