Mobile VoIP Market Projected To Do $2.5 Billion in Revenues in 2012
6 August 2012
Market research firm Visiongain has estimated that the mobile VoIP industry will reach revenues of $2.5 billion in 2012 alone. This is mainly due to the smartphone becoming more ubiquitous, and many developing nations now having access to high-speed cell networks and smartphones. Another reason for the increase in revenue has to do with the fact that VoIP vendors and cellular companies have been able to forge relationships which they were unable to agree upon in the past. Look for VoIP revenues to keep trending upward as high-speed Internet becomes the norm around the world.
