Quick and Easy to Setup

Posted: Jan 26, 2023
The Good:

The Bad:

Axvoice is an excellent VoIP service that is simple to set up. It supports conference calls, has emergency services built in, and even offers free equipment and activation to new users. Other VoIP services lack these features and charge additional fees for upgrades. This is not the case with Axvoice, making it an excellent choice for those on a tight budget.

Reliable VoIP for homes and offices

Posted: Dec 21, 2022
The Good:

The Bad:

Axvoice has been a great choice as I wanted a cheap and reliable VoIP service. I had heard great things about Axvoice but was unsure as the service might not be operational in my area. But once they started offering the service in my area I instantly bought a subscription plan. The installation was quick and easy and the connection had clear voice quality.

Cheap and Reliable VoIP for businesses and homes

Posted: Nov 28, 2022
The Good:

The Bad:

I finally found Axvoice after months of looking for a cheap, dependable, and genuine VoIP provider. Its affordable plans gave it a dubious initial impression. But I didn't give in and buy the plan until I had done a lot of study on it. To my amazement, it performed a lot better than I anticipated. Free installation and free hardware were both included in the price of the package. After using it for 2 years, for home and office, it has never let me down.

Better Home Solution

Axvoice is great if youre on a budget and even when you arent. Their service undercuts all major players by as much as $20 to $30 and that isnt money to be ignored if youve got multiple lines running. Im using it in the home office for now, and the savings alone are the biggest motivation for me to recommend this service.

No Technical Support

Posted: Apr 28, 2022
The Good:

The Bad:

I had a problem where every 4th or 5th outgoing call made, once answered would immediately go to a fast busy. I complained multiple times over my one year of service. I had one response and that was to power down everything and then bring it back up. I had already done this multiple times so that was no help. Afterwards I reported this at least a half dozen more times and never got a single response. Apparently they have no technical support. I left them and went back to my previous provider. Do not go for this service to lower your costs. You will certainly lower your level of service and satisfaction.

Great for home office use

Posted: Dec 28, 2021
The Good:

The Bad:

Its decent for the price, and doesnt overpromise on any front. Which is good because while the experience isnt lackluster, it isnt mind-blowing either. If you have an existing VOIP, stick to it, but if you need to cut costs, AXvoice is a great option. The call quality is excellent and so are their features. Competitive in all the areas where it matters, but might not be ideal for large-scale deployment.

Great Price But No Live Customer Service

Posted: Apr 26, 2021
The Good:

The Bad:

I used this company for a year because of remote work demands during the pandemic. I just recently canceled because my whole work situation has changed. Their prices are very reasonable, and their service comes with a lot of nice features included in the price. The only thing I found weird was they that do not have live support. Everything is done through e-mail and in this day and age I find this a bit creepy. They usually respond within 36 hours or less on a weekday when you send them an e-mail, and they are very friendly when they respond, however, they have no real address, no real phone number, so here you are giving them your credit card number, and you don't really know who or what this company is. If you need fast VOIP service at an excellent price, and you don't mind not having a real person to talk to when you need tech or billing support, then I say go for it. However, if you are not very technical and you need someone to walk you through the set-up, or you need to resolve a billing issue on a live call then, I suggest you use a different VOIP service or use your Internet provider's VOIP if they offer one. I give them 4 stars. They lose 1 star because there is no live support. Maybe that's how they keep their prices so low, I have no idea. All in all, my experience with them was OK. Would I use them again? Most likely, and if necessary because it was a smooth run with this company. No live support is the only drawback.

Service seems good, but their equipment sucks, in my case

Posted: May 09, 2020
The Good:

The Bad:

Gotta be honest here: I gave the 'reliability' only one star for a reason: While the VoIP service is damned good, and it'd be difficult to make it much cheaper..I have a problem. In my case, the analog phone adapter they sent with my setup was faulty right out of the box (broken micro-USB 5 volt power input receptacle to the 'base'), and they simply refused to replace it ...that is, UNLESS I paid yet another $19.99 for "shipping, handling, and provisioning" for another analog adapter unit to replace this 'broken' analog adapter. Of note: It was apparent this Grandstream HT801 had been sent to, and used by, another Axvoice user since... I FOUND AN RMA EMAIL FOR SOMEONE ELSE INSIDE THE BOX ... NOT a particularly good start to my first VoIP service... And in all honesty, I'm thinking I might even cancel my account if this is indicative of Axvoice's 'customer service', which I admit, I had seen "less than sterling" reports of as regards Axvoice ... and I signed up anyway, so ultimately I guess this is a little bit "my bad", too

Its been 4 years since I am using Axvoice and I am very satisfied with its consistently good voice quality. My clients are very important to me and I think its just horrible that your call breaks or distorts when you are dealing with a major client. Beware of this company - Axvoice

As others have said there is no person to talk to nor will they provide their names. I was with them for 5 years and starting last year they moved me to their most expensive plan on my contract renewal date. It took a few emails but they fixed it. This year they just ignored my requests for adjustment. I moved to another provider and they charged me $40 for my gateway. I have to return it at my expense. Then after they have it for 2 days I have request to get a refund. These people are sleazy and have no problem making unauthorized charges to your credit card

Absolutely no customer service. If you have a problem, you have to email them and the problem may or may not go away. At the end of year, they changed my plan to most expensive one without any notice. Then they waited 32 days to charge my credit card for previous month $18. I tried to change to another, cheaper plan, but was unable. I canceled, but had to pay another month because they informed me after second month started. I switched to their competitor and hope to have better experience. New company has 24/7 customer service and toll free number

I have been using Axvoice for 3 years and the service has been flawless. No call issues of any kind and no issues sending and receiving faxes. Like others have said you have to keep an eye on the billing. I have an annual plan and they always switch me to the most expensive month to month when the year runs out. Axvoice has no customer service and is much more expensive than they say

Posted: Jul 29, 2015

They charge you an exorbitant amount for shipping in the beginning and then want you to pay for return shipping when you cancel service. Charge for porting a number over $15 Horrible customer service if you have issues. You get one sentence answers and have to email multiple times. After paying for the first year they automatically change you to a monthly price of 16.74 which is extremely high for the features and quality They only support one phone connection When you cancel they charge $40 and hold on to that money until you return the device within 10 days. They shouldn't hold that money interest free during the shipping time. It should be charged to the card they already have after the shipping period if the device isn't returned. Now I not only have to wait for it to arrive but also wait for them to process the refund. Horrible company! Get a magicjack or basic talk and save yourself the money and hassles

Expensive bills were a little bit too much for me to cope with along with taking care of my kids. I am a working mom and there is a lot on my head all the time. Work stress combined with kids fighting combined with high call charges was something I was unable to handle. Recommended by a friend, I came across Axvoice and its low pricing. Axvoice service good for one year, horrible after that

Posted: Jan 16, 2015
The Good:

The Bad:

the quality of the call is mostly based on your own internet. this is not something AxVoice can fully control. What AxVoice can control is their ability to provide a service that is up, fully functional, and has technical support to help when there is a problem. To that end, AxVoice has nearly fully failed. The service currently does not allow me to call 6-8 numbers that I regularly call. I have tested making calls on other phones, with no issues. On the AxVoice service, I get a busy signal. AxVoice Technical Support will not respond, and customer service will not currently refund based on the failure of the service

Pure excellence - AxVoice

Ive worked for a local internet company for over five years who also offered VoIP phone service, and I would never use their services or suggest them to family or friends. I know it sounds bad, but I know the phone service was not up to the standard. At least three out of five of my weekly installations/appointments are usually people who complain about the constant problems with their services. I know I shouldnt bash the company that pays me, but its the truth. I briefly had their phone services and it sucked. The call quality was never consistent. I thought about going to Vonage, but then I saw how much cheaper Axvoice was, so I said screw it and took a chance. It was a great decision. So this is my first time having a home phone in a looooonnnnnggg time. The last time I had a home phone was back when service was analog. Ive become so accustomed to having just a cell phone; I felt there was no reason to have a regular phone in the house. My mother is staying with me and my husband now and she likes to talk to our family back in Netherlands, so I had to look into getting home service. I have to be honest and admit I tried a different company prior to signing up for Axvoice. Our cable package was offering a triple play bundle so we tried it. It was really horrible though and the long distance were phenomenal. I was quite surprised because I thought it was going to be better than what it really was. The calls were extremely poor. Most of the time, we couldnt understand or hear the other person on the phone. Since we didnt have the service long, we just ended up cancelling it. Axvoice has really restored our faith in home phone services. Their voice quality is excellent and their long distance rates are the cheapest

Excellent service provider - Axvoice

The Good:

The Bad:

I love this service! I decided to get a home phone since my cell phone service is horrible in my home area, and I still have five months left in my contract. Ive been searching for a new job for a few months now, and my cell phone kept dropping calls. Not only that, but sometimes the calls wouldnt come through at all. I had at least two different employers tell me they called me several times, but I never received a missed call notification. So those were the main reasons why I decided to get a home phone, so I could have a more reliable way for job offers to contact me. I have follow me set up to ring my mobile phone if Im not at home, so now I can always be available. Since Ive had Axvoice, Ive been using my home phone more than my cell. If you knew me personally, you would know how much I love my cell. I never used a VOIP service before, so I didnt know what to expect, but the quality is phenomenal. It actually sounds clearer than my cell phone. Im glad I chose Axvoice over Vonage. Vonage cost $12 more per month, they charge $10 for their VOIP adapter, and charge shipping and handling to ship the darn thing, so Axvoice was the obvious choice for me. It was more affordable, and has some great features. When I first got my new cell phone number, I use to get calls from telemarketers and automated work-from-home calls all the time, so I was worried I was going to have the same problem with my home phone. Fortunately, Axvoice has an Anonymous Call Rejection feature that really comes in handy, especially when my ex and I broke up. So Im definitely a fan of that particular feature. LOL. But the bottom line is, I love Axvoice, and I predict Ill have this service for a very long time

And when I had trouble with my service, their go-to response was theres a known problem in your area. It just got too frustrating to continue to deal with their nonsense. I wanted to switch a long time ago but there was no other option. My father has satellite services and I absolutely hate it. I finally decided to downgrade to just their basic cable package, found a cheaper internet company, and got my home phone service through you guys. Im really impressed by the quality of the calls. There is absolutely no difference between your service, and the expensive service from Xfinity. It makes me feel a bit stupid for not switching sooner. I feel like I threw away a crap load of money for nothing. So far, switching has been a great decision. My bills are lower, the service is great, and my wife is happy. So thats all that really matters. Ive only had to contact customer service a few times, but it was mostly just to ask questions, but they were always friendly and helpful, so no complaints here. I even recommended your service to a couple of my in-laws

Axvoice - Terrible!

Posted: Dec 03, 2013
The Good:

The Bad:

I am IT professional and I would strongly discourage anyone to do business with this company. They do not have address and phone number, no names of customer support people you work with, just e-mail support, slow at times (24-48 hr to respond). They betray customers' confidence to safeguard privacy. Paying less is only good if you get what you want, but being/getting betrayed is not worth any savings. Now exploring other (more expensive) options for VOIP and assuming they will never refund $129 because I did use my own equipment (and as some other reviewers already indicated). Will have to cancel my credit card, just in case! Moving on! Piece of advice: do not go for 12-mo contract. Get a month-to-month at a higher rate and only if you are happy with service get a longer contract

The Bad:

It was quite difficult for us to change our phone company exactly when my wife was in the hospital but I had to do that as my phone service provider GlaxyVoice was closing its business. I was kind of rescued by Axvoice and they transferred my GalaxyVoice number on their own. All I had to do was sign up and then email an authority letter. They completed the whole process on my behalf while I was busy with my children and wife in the hospital. Besides that, I am getting free voice mail and call forwarding. At night, I can use Do Not Disturb feature which is the most useful feature with a new born in the house. Call quality and customer support is far better than what I was getting before

DO NOT GET THEIR SERVICE

Posted: Jun 03, 2013
The Good:

The Bad:

With cheap price comes cheap service. I rarely ever encounter bad enough service where I feel the need to post a bad review. However, I feel like this particular experience is quite an exception. I obtained service from them because I read reviews that their VoIP was excellent and the connection was clear. From the day I received my "free" device I already had technical issues. I couldn't make or receive calls. The most frustrating part was that I couldn't even call to troubleshoot, I had to email which took me 3 days to get it resolved. It all ended up being an issue on their end. After that was resolved, I asked them to disable my call waiting which I could not have active as I was using this for a customer service position at home. They stated it was disabled but people were still getting a "ringing" when they called when I was on another incoming call. When contacting them they stated it depended on the provider of the person calling. That made no sense. What was the point of having call waiting disabled if it only worked with certain providers which seemed to be none of the ones that called me. After I advised them of that they then blamed the issue on me that it would be on my end. (Mind you, I now have Vonage and my call waiting disability has had no issues.) Then a day later my incoming calls were not coming through at all. I don't claim to be a IT wiz or anything but I have a fairly advanced knowledge of computers and I'm pretty sure this is not an easy connection for someone who has no clue how to troubleshoot. I've since cancelled my service and requested a refund of my remaining balance for my outgoing calls. They said I would be charged 39.99 for that "free" device until I returned it within 10 days, in which I have to pay the shipping in handling. They've already caused my account to be overdrawn and there is no way that I'm going to pay anything else towards this incompetent company. What a waste of my time/money. Do not get this service

Absolutely fantastic customer support at Axvoice

Posted: May 15, 2013
The Good:

The Bad:

Ive never had a VOIP service before, so I had a lot of questions before signing up. Axvoice customer service is impeccable. They were so friendly and patient with me. They made sure I understood everything and was completely comfortable with the details of the service before purchasing. So right off the bat, I liked Axvoice. I just want to give a breakdown of how smoothly the entire process was for me. On DAY ONE, I called to inquire about the service and ask questions. Later that day, I spoke with my husband about it, and he told me to go for it. So I signed up on their website that evening to get started. Within a couple of hours a representative called to confirm the order and told me that I would receive the equipment within a week. Day Five, I received my phone adapter. I was surprised it came so fast; it came sooner than expected. I hooked the phone adapter up to my modem, and plugged my phone into the adapter. It was extremely easy, my thirteen year old granddaughter helped. It only took me like 60 seconds to do it and I was able to make and receive calls immediately. DAY SEVEN, I sent AxVoice some paperwork to have my old number transferred over to my service. DAY 15, my number was transferred over successfully, and I started using my new service with no problems. The call quality is really impressive. I absolutely love it. The whole process was easy, the customer service was great, and the features are wonderful

The Good:

The Bad:

I tried to sign up for their service but their "billing" department (so said their emails) was so inflexible and rigid about the process, I ultimately gave up trying to complete it. Not only did they fail to read/respond appropriately to emails -- repeatedly requesting information, for example, which I already provided to them -- my issue ultimately came down to their complete inflexibility in regards to a simple phone call. As with many companies, they use a phone call to validate their online client and wish to speak to you personally. However, in attempting to set up this initial call, Axvoice seemed completely inflexible, insisting on a time-table which I found decidedly inconvenient. Moreover, they seemed unable or unwillingness to accommodate an alternative time frame that was convenient for me. I wasn't trying to be a prima donna -- accommodating a customer's time table is perhaps one of the most basic tenets to proper customer service and I did provide them with a generous three hour window from 9am to noon any day of the week for which I was available for this procedure -- but AXvoice was ultimately incapable to accommodate my request. Now, I understand when the cable or phone companies requires this kind of "window of availability" (i.e. because they are sending out an actual person to your home to whom you need to give access to your property), but c'mon AXvoice -- this kind of service window crap is really annoying when even when it is clearly necessary. We, on the other hand, were merely negotiating a time block for receiving a simple phone call! WTF? Do you really need to be THAT inflexible? Is your billing staff so impotent that they can't simply pick up the phone at ANY time of day? Ultimately, I just became frustrated with the email back and forth and given the wide range of competition in the VOIP industry, I felt this situation likely portended some really poor customer service for which I would have gravely regretted had I had the misfortune of enduring a full year of service with them. I suppose I might thank AxVoice for being such incredible boobs

The Good:

The Bad:

I have never written a review before in my life, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I'm recently divorced, and been really down on my luck since my wife left me. She usually handles all the bills and financial stuff around the house. I'm a guys' guy, so I don't know what kind of groceries to buy, or what kind of cable package to order. I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to that stuff. The first year on my own was brutal. I overpaid for everything. After my job cut our wages, I had to learn how to budget my money. To go from $11.50 to $8.25, was devastating. I decided to try making money online, so I kept internet and basic cable. I gave up cell phone services for awhile too; I was paying $87 per month for something I barely even used. I saw an ad for Axvoice, and checked the site out. I thought to myself, "$8.25?! I can do that!" The adapter came within a couple of days, and I was up and running. It was nice talking on a phone that didn't drop my calls or sound like I was inside an empty room. I can't believe how many features I get with my service. I have caller id, voicemail, three-way calling, call forwarding, and a bunch of other features. My home phone does more than my cell phone could ever do. I would need 20 different phone apps alone, to do the things Axvoice does. Now that I'm on my own, I can appreciate the small things, and these guys offer a big difference for a small price. Thanks for the awesome service

Axvoice Works Very Well For Us

Posted: Oct 03, 2012
The Good:

The Bad:

We have an office in the US and an office in Canada, and we switched over to Axvoice from another VoIP provider about 7 months ago. With our previous VoIP provider, we were constantly having issues with calls dropping, and also billing issues. I grew pretty sick of dealing with it so I did a bit of research online and decided to give Axvoice a try. I am glad I did, as the last 7 months since switching have been mostly smooth sailing. I also want to emphasize that it was easy to get Axvoice set up quickly in both our US and Canada locations, and the systems at both locations interface well with each other. I'd recommend Axvoice to any company who just wants their phone system to work without spending an arm and a leg, and also wants some business-class features

We were previously with Vonage and then switched to Axvoice and had signed about three months ago. It was very easy to complete and get the sign up stuff done, also we ported our number from Vonage over to Axvoice and honestly it is better quality at about half the price we were paying or close to it. The customer service is really great. The number port took about 2 weeks from the day our port request was put inand it went smooth. Me and my wife are so glad we switched and very happy with them, saving more money and better quality. We have tried all the top voip services and have switched to get best prices and service and Axvoice is best so far

The Bad:

When I had an apartment years ago when I was single I had a dsl line and went from msn to earthlink to finally switching to Comcast cable internet when it became available, at that point I had been seeing several commercials and offers for voip service and how much you could save and being that my internet and phone bills were way over 130+ per month I decided to make the switch and try out axvoice. I placed my order over the phone and got my equipment super quick and to be honest it was very easy to plug in and use. I called my gf at the time and she could not tell the difference between my phones calls and other landline calls. No robotic sounds or lag in the call at all, I was pretty happy. I later called my family who lives in the islands, which ended up being cheaper than long distance or any phone cards which I have used before, they sounded like they were right next door to me and that was amazing. Two Big Thumbs Up for Axvoice

The first thing I liked about axvoice was the features included and no contract needed like many others will do to lock you in forever. Honestly the customer support is second to none. When I called in to get help with correcting a router issue a tech guy got on the phone right away and walked me through the whole thing and got the problem resolved quickly. That help to me meant a lot and was all I needed to become a lifetime customer. Most support will transfer you through three departments, leave you on hold, or take days to fix the simplest problem, they handled it quickly and I was more than happy. I have a complicated setup for my internet in my building and they figured out a solution fast. I highly recommend axvoice just based on customer support alone

I ordered Axvoice after my previous voip company (Sunrocket) closed. For the transition Axvoice offered 3 months free service to sign up. The material arrived very quickly and setup was a childs play. We chose Axvoice because of their international plan. My wife is from France, so she makes a lot of calls back home. Other providers have something similar, but they are more expansive and somentimes they don't include France. The voice is very clear. The international rates are so high with other providers, I'd be paying 4 times what I pay now. I would definitely recommend this service especially if you make international calls

The Bad:

Two points why I would not recommend them: Upon sign in they charged me $152.88 by mistake. I supposed to pay $10.99/month, so I requested the explanation by e-mail. BTW, I didn't find any way to call AXVoice support. They responded that transaction will be refunded. That happened a year ago and I still didn't get my money back. AXVoice has been charging me for $10.99+taxes and fees for entire year, but $151.88 got lost. For last two months I didn't get any response from them to any of my e-mails... Second issue: some of phone numbers, that I was dialing too often, stopped working. For example, my company PBX access numbers stopped working one after another. As soon as I was switching from one access number, that started giving me a busy signal after a month of using it, the next one stopped working in a month or so. When I lost an access to the first one, I've sent an e-mail to support: no response at all... Finally I came to the situation that I couldn't call any of my most used numbers and the account became completely useless

I LOVE Axvoice!!

The Bad:

I use high-speed internet for some home-based marketing that I am getting off the ground. I needed a reliable service for calls without giving out my cell or regular home number. I found AXVOICE and decided to give it a try and now I am very glad that I did. It is extremely reliable and the calls sound no different from a traditional, wired line service. At first I went with the basic, free service for incoming calls only, but I needed this to be for my new business. I switched it to the home office plan, which was the same price as the residential plan I was looking at. The 200 minutes with this plan is fine for me because I do most of my communication through social networking, text messages, and email. This works for the occasional conference call I need to do. As my business grows and I need to do more with this line, I can get nearly 8 times the minutes for only twice the price. I get all the features I would have gotten with the residential plan, too, including the music-on-hold feature, which gives my business a nice, professional feel. The simultaneous ring is perfect because my wife works a different schedule than I do. With this, my cell vibrates with no ring in my pocket to let me know the land line is ringing and it doesn't disturb her. AXVOICE helps me work my home business with more convenience than I could find with some other carriers and I am very happy about that

Axvoice: Great Customer Service, Potential Issues

Axvoice: Doing All Right?

The Bad:

Today, 2-19-12, was my first major outage lasting a few hours. The failsafe (call forwarded) backup number also did not work as was specified by AxVoice web site. There is no telephone number to call for tech support OR for customer service. The LIVE HELP (Live Chat) is not live at all. One must leave a message and an email address. It's been 10 hours, no response yet though my service magically came back up. (no it wasn't on my end nor the ISP). Considering this is the first "known" outage, I guess I'm doing alright. - Daniel K., AEE, BSEE, MSIT DDK Telecom - see our site for "VoIP Advantages and Disadvantages" for more info on various VoIP providers and equipment

Axvoice Review - Voip Provider

Posted: May 03, 2010
The Good:

The Bad:

I used to have a plan with them called Pay as You Go (Pay just for the calls you make). In order to use this plan, a deposit was required. I placed $20.00 in it. I used only $0.27 out of $20.00. When I canceled my account after a month, no one returned my deposit money back. I have made numerous attempts to get my money back but so far no luck. I sent e-mails and left messages on Axvoice tech-support (888-277-8647)and Axvoice Billing (212-933-9460) but so far I have not received a response from them. I also contacted Better Business Bureau and Federal Communications Commission and so far Axvoice doesn't respond even to them. I really regret having business with them and do not recommend them to anyone. In order to avoid my mistake, stay away from the company and do not spend a single cent on their products and services.

I have been with this company for years. Once, I neede customer service and I got someone completly rude. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS....but to avoid going to the hedached of switching VOIP companies, I decided to give Axvoice one more try. (Hey! maybe the person on teh other day was a very unhappy human and I was the lucky one having to deal with Him/Her) Well, I nned Customer Service again...a year later..Now I feel that is company is being run by some morin living in his mother's basement. What an awful expereinece!!!! They do not know they butt from their elbow! As I mentioon on the CONS: No phone contact at all (even though I requested a contact phone number already in 3 emails). ALL communication is via email, which ,make it almost impossible to make your point across when the other on do not take time to read your email completely, and all you get are answers that are not even related to your request. I do not think whoever is assisting the customer is taking the time to read and make sure good quality service is provided. Today I had enough. I am a customer less Axvoice will have to deal with. And so is my best friend who just sign-up with them, and will cancel also to avoid these issues in the future
