JIVE LIES to you!Posted: Feb 28, 2020
The Good:
The Bad:
S0, I fall for all the Jive hype and decide to switch my VOIP services from a good provider to them. It looked like I would save a few bucks and as a small business they all add up. Get my Jive "quote" and all is good, was going to save a bit. Let me say this first...the Jive support crew is good. They are patient and they get you fixed every time. I will miss them. Customer Service and Billing are a disgrace and ignore common sense. But I finally after months of using them actually looked at my monthly bill and saw it was 40% HIGHER than quoted. WHOOOOAAA. Looked and called them trying to figure it out. I did not add any numbers, features, etc. They clearly told me that I was paying per Phone Line (number).... Well, that was a lie, because when I added a voip phone that I could simply take and plug in elsewhere , etc. they considered that as adding a device, and said that is what I am paying for! I said that they (my same 3 numbers) are the same and it is on the internet so it makes no real difference...I still only have my 3 lines and that is what originally was explained to me. Obviously it doesn't because the phones can be moved to anywhere and plugged in. It is still only 3 numbers that are used. |

Love this companyPosted: Feb 21, 2020
The Good:
The Bad:
I have been using Jive for about 15 months and encountered no problems. When I first started to set up the dial plans I had questions and called customer support. They answering my questions, got me up and running. I referred my son's business and he now uses Jive. My fixed monthly fee is unbelievably low. Other companies wanted per call monthly billing which would be too costly. How could anyone not like this company. I'm beyond pleased. Thanks |

Terrible - Do NOT Use JivePosted: Jul 02, 2019
The Good:
The Bad:
Don't use. 1.They told me that I would not have an auto-payment after our trial. This was addressed in the very beginning and the assured me. Even contacted them days before our trial was up to let them know we wouldn't be signing up.....Drafted anyways. 2. The APP is absolutely terrible. On numerous occasions, I would go to answer the phone and the person on the other line could not hear me. I would have to call them from my personal cell just to do business which defeated the purpose of the software. 3. Customer Service is not reliable. Only got generic responses. I've used Grasshopper in the past and it was MUCH better. |

Top Notch Customer ServicePosted: Feb 27, 2019
The Good:
The Bad:
We have been with Jive for 1.5 years and have been very happy. Set up was a breeze, the phones they suggested are easy to use and perfect for what we need. Anytime I have a question or need help with anything, I can always get a hold of someone and an answer quickly. Customer service always follows up as well to make sure everything is running smooth. The portal is very simple to use as well and it's easy to set up my messages for holidays, etc. |

Jive is the Best VOIP Tool I Have Ever SeenPosted: Feb 26, 2019
The Good:
The Bad:
I have been using Jive since November 2018 and I am thoroughly satisfied with this remarkable tool. I have no background in using VOIP (aside from having it set up for me once when deployed to Baghdad, Iraq). But since I became a business owner, I found the entire process easy to accomplish, and when I did require some assistance, Tech Support was immediately available to walk me through (and in some cases do the work for me) whatever issue I faced. The user interface is among the most intuitive I have ever experienced in any application, including other computer programs and phone apps. It has truly been a joy to use and has allowed me to quickly get up and running so that I could concentrate on other aspects of my business. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this tool has NEVER failed to work, ever. I would eagerly recommend Jive to anyone considering a VOIP implementation! |

JIVE VOIP reviewPosted: Feb 26, 2019
The Good:
The Bad:
Biggest frustration is customer service. It takes so long to get in contact with support. Today I waited for 20 minutes to speak to someone and this is pretty good. I dread calling support because it takes 45-90 minutes to get the problem worked out and sometimes they have to call back. I will say if I call after business hours the wait is not very long at all, but we are not open past 4:00 p.m. so this is not very helpful. There have been a few people within JIVE that are very helpful and I wish I could talk to them every time, but they don't work this way as its a call queue. A great feature would be that you would be assigned a team so you get to know them and your team knows the customer resulting in quicker solutions and less waiting. The sound quality and features have all worked great once we got set up. Anymore if something ends up not working right it's always been that we need to do an update and for awhile it seemed like the updates were weekly. We also had some issues with billing that took quite a while to solve and close out an additional account under our name that was added by error. |

UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE!!!!Posted: Dec 18, 2018
The Good:
The Bad:
I can't believe the good fortune finding Jive for a project that required an outbound call center. Literally - we had less than 7 days before our client was to walk through the door. From beginning to end, Jive was there 24 hours a day! I can't begin to tell you how stressful this whole experience has been with this project, but Jive never skipped a beat. We got 7 phone lines installed in 1 day The phone quality is fantastic (Comcast Business). The options available are vast. They even have a Call Center Portal for those with phone queues. The versatility to switch from phone to cell on the fly is like magic! I can monitor phone calls from anywhere. We have an account with Ring Central and initially called them to get this done through them, but they were too expensive for our budget. When the dust settles, we plan to switch the company's main phone lines to Jive I LOVE JIVE! I have never written such a positive review for a company. They deserve the #1 slot for VOiP SERVICES!!! |

Jive is not worth the hasslePosted: Nov 28, 2018
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive is much more cumbersome than my previous VoIP. We have used several VoIP companies in the past and Jive is not easy to work with. I wish we didn't switch to them. Some of their sales promises were misleading. The setup team and support are unable to figure out simple issues for days and weeks at a time. |

Jive VoIP is Fascinatingly SimplePosted: Aug 28, 2018
The Good:
The Bad:
If you work for a company that has any sort of multi-line phone network and you have ever wondered how it all works, this service does just that. It allows so much flexibility whether you are directing multiple phone numbers to one receptionist or if you need to make sure several agents only receive calls from specific lines of business. Other systems I have worked with require a complex combination of button presses and codes and sometimes that still doesn't work how you hope. With Jive, you get to lay out exactly how the calls are supposed to route and flow. You are given a blank window with lots of options. You can physically take the different buttons and place them and route them from one to the next. Each button generally has additional settings down to the way the caller ID shows up when coming in from a certain line, to the type of hold music they will hear while waiting for you to answer. I appreciate the flexibility for any office type that this will offer. |

VoIP Cloud Solution for any skill levelPosted: Aug 27, 2018
The Good:
The Bad:
Over the years that we have partnered with Jive we have seen a lot of improvements. Jive strives to have a easy to use cloud portal that caters to users of all skill level. The administration portal is easy to use and organized well. The partner portal has lots of resources to guide users in the use of the portal and how to configure or troubleshoot phones. Jive works hard to include feedback by running pilot groups and make improvements that matter to their customers. They are always very responsive to our issues and have been a great partner for us to work with. |

Communication Leaves a lot to be desired - JivePosted: Jun 15, 2017
The Good:
The Bad:
I was with Jive for over 3 years. I went with them because at the time, it seemed like the best option to setup a couple of different messages/settings for my business. Jive doesn't provide an intuitive system, but it worked okay for awhile. However, for the last year, I've been very sorry I went with Jive because of their system (for some reason, my settings were getting constantly knocked off even though we hadn't made changes). I cancelled my service with Jive in January, and have been consistently charged since then. Eventually, after an incredible amount of communication and followup from me and my staff (and after being treated rudely by Jive more than once), they finally confirmed that they made an internal error. They fixed it months after the fact... and then today, I received another charge. I have serious doubts about this company and think their behind-the-scenes payment and customer care must be in incredible disarray. I've never experienced such a perpetual pain with a company |

JivePosted: Jul 06, 2016
The Good:
The Bad:
We had a bad experience with our prior service which has poor customer service. In addition, the company was acquired by a larger company and had sent us a new agreement to sign asking for what I thought were outrageous restrictions. Including a 5 year fixed contract requiring us to pay them even if we decided to change services. This resulted in us researching several companies and their background. I also asked individuals that I knew were in the technology area. In this process a family member suggested Jive. I found Jive to be cost competitive and quality reviews were equal to or above all other companies that we considered. So we chose Jive. The difference in the quality of service was immediately apparent. Jive responded to every call, e-mail or other contact. They followed up on any issues we had and worked with us through any difficulties. The transition was not without issues, but Jive worked us through every problem. We have had the service for several months now and are happy with the results. I would have no problem recommending Jive to anyone |

I have been a customer with Jive for about 3 years. I reviewed other VOIP providers for my business needs and selected them largely based on comments about their excellent customer service. I have found that the service is as advertised, technically competent and very responsive. I have also been pleased with the quality of the service with minimal outages, which tend to be resolved quickly. The service has the flexibility I am looking for at a reasonable price |

Jive is GoodPosted: Oct 01, 2015
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive Communications has been great for me! Once set up, I cut my costs of having one main line, one 800# and one fax in half. With ATandT I was running about $140/month; with Jive my monthly bill is about $60/month. The equipment needed to start this service up (router, handset and wireless handset) cost me about $350, but his was paid back in savings within 5 months. I may invest in a wireless headset soon. If you are not a techie, you may need help setting the system up; I had a business coach help me (making sure that my broadband wireless would support VOIP). Faxing is all electronic so I keep a real fax machine hooked up to my landline if I want to send a fax the traditional way. I do like not having to print off my faxes in the Jive system and was easily able to have my phone ring automatically to my cell phone so I do not miss many calls while in or out of the office. I have paid for the service with this feature alone. I have only had my phone system go down once in over one year (ATandT was more than this) and I was able to quickly resolve the problem with one phone call. I highly recommend Jive! Their system has saved me quite a bit of money and I now actually have a better and more flexible communication system working for me |

Jive makes it easyPosted: Sep 29, 2015

I'd recommend Jive for your VOIP service. Fair pricing and excellent customer service. We've been with Jive for our office phones for over 3 years. They were easy to set up with and change from the local phone carrier. They took care of all of the issues and got us up and running quickly. Now things are set up and run smoothly. When we have an issue customer service is so helpful and fixes things in a timely manner. I've had many good experiences with them. Their new product Jive Mobility is still being worked on and there are some glitches, but overall it allows me more freedom using my laptop and cell phone to make calls. It allows me to move my office around when I travel and clients don't need to know I'm not at my desk. I'm happy we switched to VOIP and Jive does a great job |

Jive makes VoIP simple and does it rightPosted: Sep 25, 2015
The Good:
The Bad:
We have been with Jive since July 2012. We are extremely satisfied with Jives Customer Service, Tech Support, and the Jive system itself. When we have questions or need help with router settings, adding/deleting another phone, or creating dial plans, they have been friendly, patient, helpful, and easy to contact. Jive Management is doing something right with training and culture. Switching from regular phones to VOIP phones was a major decision but we absolutely chose the right company. Hooking up with Jive was one of the best business technology decisions weve made. The Web PBX Admin makes it very easy and intuitive to create users, add devices, lines, extensions, auto-attendants, sound clip recordings, call-paths, dial-plans, voicemail boxes, ring groups, hold music, schedules to play different greetings, forwarding, find-me, etc, etc. The phones are easy to configure. We have 32 Voip phones located in 7 different cities in the San Francisco Bay Area and 1 in Idaho. We have 12 phones connected at our Main office, 14 at our warehouse, and 6 remote home users. Our staff who work from their homes are connected through their home internet service provider and it feels just like they are in the main office. One of our employees went to live with her husband in the military who was stationed in Hawaii she simply took her Polycom IP phone with her connected to the internet in her apartment and never missed a beat. We can hire anyone anywhere if they have a high-speed internet connection. Our Main office has Comcast Internet 100Mbps download/20Mbps upload, using an Adtran Netvanta 3120 Router with Qos (Jive configured for us), and a standard 24 port switch (Modem>Router>Switch>Phones>PCs). We have 12 phones and 28 PCs all sharing bandwidth in the main office thats 40 devices on one Comcast connection.. and we have not had any major jitter or voice quality issues with Jive. As with any business - our phones are our life blood. We have a very high call volume office. Our staff handles calls from doctors, patients, and insurance companies constantly throughout the day, and we have not had any major downtime with Jive. A couple of years ago Jive went down temporarily for a few hours during a bad storm only because there were power outages around the country. Down 1 day in 3 years? I would have to say they are extremely reliable. Based on my experience, anyone who says Jive does not work should perform a simple process of elimination: check your internet connection speed at speedtest.net, and check the quality of your internet connection (jitter and packet loss) at pingtest.net, or run a simple ping test from the DOS prompt (ping t www.google.com), and/or power cycle the modem and router. Jive does not pass the blame, they help you with your router settings to make it work right. I dont write reviews on the internet, but I wanted to write this review because I remember the fear and hesitation I experienced trying to choose the right VOIP provider and the right equipment and trying to make sense of it all with a thousand questions. I remember being confused and overwhelmed and worried about downtime and quality and cost. Jive makes it simple and does it right |

Very reliable, good support, could still use improvement in key areas - JivePosted: May 09, 2015
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive Communications provides a technically reliable VOIP service that would be suitable for nearly any size company. Jive's tech support is excellent, although getting responses via email can take too long. Their self-service tools, in particular the Dial Plan Editor, are very advanced and actually fun to use. Jive's call quality and overall system reliability is very high. Their 24x7 tech support is quite friendly and easy to reach, and for the most part, the staff is quite competent. Overall, we are pleased with Jive's service and support. However, we would like Jive to more thoroughly test the PBX admin portal -- and fix the user interface quirks. We would also like to see more prompt and more complete responses to requests sent in via email |

Very Happy with JIVE!Posted: Apr 25, 2015
The Good:
The Bad:
Our company switched over to Jive VOIP phones after speaking with sales reps from several Hosted VOIP providers (8x8 and Mitel were the runners up). I choose Jive because of the awesome feature set (all included), no contract and great customer service. Some of the features that Jive includes for free are upcharges with other companies (Presence Monitoring, mobile soft phone app, chrome browser plug in with click to dial, virtual fax, unlimited conference bridges etc). It is really nice to be able to have all these if you need or want to use them. I also really like the user interface and dial plan editor which is super easy to use and makes customization almost unlimited. About the only feature you would have to pay more for is space for call recording on Amazon if you want to record calls. We had a few great demos with the setup folks and they were all very knowledgeable and very willing to help. It is really impressive to me how good the customer service with Jive is. Everyone I have ever spoken to there is so helpful and friendly. Jive gave me 2 polycom phones on a free trial which was great. We ended up going with the VVX400 phones. During the trial we were able to determine we had an internet issue with Comcast (Maybe Jive can give them a customer service lesson!) and were able to get that resolved before going live which made the turnover much better. I highly recommend a trial period. Our number port was quicker than expected and we have had great call quality since we switched. We have 50mbps down and 10mbps up Comcast business internet connection and 10 phones. We did have some issues with the presence monitoring that Jives awesome tech support ironed out with some setting changes on our SonicWall firewall (increase UDP time out to 300 for any IT folk). I knew I wanted Hosted VOIP to get rid of the maintenance and upgrades associated with having our own PBX But, I was worried to make the switch after having most local phone folks try to talk me out of it and hearing many call quality horror stories. But, through the whole process Jive was very helpful and they make it possible for you to switch without worry by doing a free trial. I am very happy with my choice |

Responsive Customer Service - JivePosted: Aug 25, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive is a fantastic service. Call quality is generally excellent and their customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable. Our system was experiencing poor quality - it turned out to be caused by our ISP equipment. Jive helped us not only resolve the issue but test our equipment throughly and exhaustively. A cut above the restPosted: Aug 11, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
We have a small company with 7 different VOIP lines/devices in play, four of which are in one office and the others remote. We originally shopped a few VOIP providers but found Jive to be head-and-shoulders above everyone else. They have a powerful yet intuitive online dashboard/portal which allows a company like ours to make quick changes that go into effect instantly. I've never had any complaints about the quality of the service and I believe the price to be extremely competitive. The 1 gem of this company though is their customer service. Every tech, CSR, or sales staff I've worked with has been easily the most knowledgable and professional of any company I've ever worked with in any industry. It's difficult to overstate how unusual it is to find a company that focuses this much on customer service |

Jive - Unified Communications. A step above the restPosted: Aug 06, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive communications is a very good service. It is easy to use the interface is very intuitive. Also everyone that works at jive really understands customer service and they go out of their way to assist you with any issue you have. I was unfamiliar with Jive in the beginning and had to call in to get help. The staff walked me through creating and setting up users and anything else I needed. I have been doing IT for 14 years and this is by far the best support from any vendor that I have ever received. Another time I had to call in because we were having a technical issue, while on hold I had to step into the server room. The tech on the phone picked up when I was in the server room. Rather than just ignore it, like many other vendors often do. The tech called me back until he reached me to insure that my issue was resolved. This company is definitely a class act. I will look at them anytime I need a VOIP solution because their service level is far above any others. I will converting all my other locations to Jive from Comcast because of this level of service. If you need a VOIP solution I would definitely go with Jive. There is none better in my experience |

Outages cause us problems - JivePosted: Jul 10, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
We experience outages of several hours or more too frequently. This is unacceptable for our business as we rely on our phones and at least one is in use 90% of the time in the mornings. We risk missing important time sensitive calls that in an extreme situation could cripple our business. It looks poorly on our business when we have to ask important customers to switch to our cell phones. In almost all cases, when our phones are down I can't reach customer support via phone because their phones are down as well since we are on the same system |

Jive is awesome!Posted: Apr 07, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
The customer service is what stands out the most to me. I am not the most "technically minded" individual, so having someone lead me through any questions I have is a big deal. We had some recent problems, which weren't even with Jive, it was with our local internet provider. I had a terrible time getting help through them, but my customer service representative with Jive (Craig) was wonderful, and checked in daily to see how it was progressing until we got it resolved with our local provider. He took a lot of time to explain what the problem was, and how to address it with our internet provider. I would totally recommend Jive to anyone looking for a business phone solution, for price and features, but mostly, the great customer service |

Very polite people, but awful customer service - JivePosted: Mar 18, 2014
The Good:
The Bad:
Nice polite folks - well, being in Utah that would be expected. Long wait times for customer service or tech support - neither of whom seem to have any knowledge of what the other department has done. You get shuffled from pillar to post constantly going nowhere. It took me 3 months to get credited for some equipment we returned as instructed, and only then because I kept calling the billing folks until they finally crumbled. Total chaos as they hunted through various disparate systems - a paperwork nightmare. Another piece of equipment failed (3 months in) and I had to spend hours on multiple levels of support (repeating all the same stuff) to get it replaced under warranty. Finally gave up and wrote it off. As for Billing, there's no online access to the bill details - but they "hope to make that available" some time in the future. Huh? These folks just aren't ready for prime time - and it becomes obvious as soon as you need them to do something. Lots of lovely words just doesn't make up for wasted time and poor service. I'm sad to say this, but most of them need to find some other form of employment |

The Good:
The Bad:
When I was looking to replace my company's old phone system, I researched many voip providers. I was particularly impressed with Jive due to their feature-rich system and US-based support. I spoke with one of their sales reps via chat and was sold. It has been smooth sailing ever since. As our company has grown, we've had to add new phones to the system and it's quite an easy process. Support has been very helpful with the few minor issues we've run into since deployment. I would definitely recommend Jive to anyone looking for a hosted pbx system |

Jive - the hidden flaws!Posted: Oct 31, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
Incomplete call logs. We depend on our call logs to support litigation efforts. I just found out that Jive's call logs have been "80-90% complete", and it is an issue they "are aware of", and they are "working on it". This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE for businesses that expect and need call logs to be accurate. And, if Jive already knew this, then why did they not proactively inform their customers? Unacceptable and dishonest. I can't trust Jive to disclose other known issues in the future, so we must now find another provider. Stay away from Jive. The appear to spend a lot of time polishing the shiny parts you see everyday, but the back-end is just as important. You won't know you have a hidden problem until it is to late |

The Bad:
Overall, I am very pleased with Jive. I know that I made a good decision going with them. Right now I only have 1 user setup and thats me. However, I have 2-3 more users that I will be adding. Call quality/sound quality is excellent. On occasion there may be a blip in the line. So if I say ABCDEFG you may notice a little blip but its not taking away from the call as in if you cant understand what was said. Its just obvious youre not on a landline but for VOIP this is a very common issue. As my IT person said Frankly, youre never going to find a phone service that is 100% clear 100% of the time. There are too many variables outside of your or the phone providers control. I agree with my IT person. Can we name one VOIP provider whos got the best quality? Youre never really going to find one and I have tried lots of them over the last 2-3 months. I spent a lot of time just staying focused on sound quality and I can tell you from what I have learned a lot of your VOIP quality concerns really has to do with the stability of your own internet connection. Runs peed tests. Make sure you have acceptable download and upload speeds. My download is 55Mbps and my upload is a little over 5Mbs. Ensure youre using a LAN connection not wireless internet. You will also have a lower download/upload speed with wireless intneret. Run a ping test and check the reply times using this command in the command prompt: ping ping.jiveip.com -t Also, ensure you have a good router that supports QOS. I guess geographically too, if youre in a remote area where internet signals or weak that can also impact VOIP quality |

Great customer service and technical support from JivePosted: Sep 03, 2013

I am run a small staffing firm and as such live on the phone. During the last two years there have been very few issues and when there were, the service department responded back immediately. They helped us to configure for the most economical use of phone lines and convenience for our customers. Initially I had a quality issue and it turned out to be my cable provider. Jive was on the phone with me and Cablevision until Cablevision rectified the issues. The cable company wanted proof of it being their fault and Jive provided the backup. The sound is truly high def. I have recommended the service to my peers in other similar businesses. I have been told that the system is very professional and my customers LIKE the on hold music. Found Jive with an Internet search, read a bunch of reviews and they all seemed great, so I decided to try it out. Customer service was excellent from the start. In 30 minutes I was up and running. Service worked out-of-the-box with both Linux softphones I use (Jitsi and Bria 3) - all I had to do was input my credentials into these programs. Sound quality is excellent - no break-ups, delays, etc, even though I'm calling US numbers all the way from Brazil. The options are endless with this system and the Service Team Specialists are a fingertip or call away and work very diligently to resolve any issues we may have. They have helped us to customize our VOIP options to exactly what suits our needs. And though the System is rather complicated, they walk you through it and make it easy! Been with them for 2 months. Not long enough to determine reliability. I do understand though they had issues during the Sandy Hurricane. Most hosts in NY and NJ did. Looks like their eggs where is all one basket. However checking their new srv records and failover it looks like they learned from the issue and deployed other servers in the US |

Jive is Almost PerfectPosted: Apr 19, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive has great options and features for the price. Comparable services from a couple other business VoIP providers was almost double based on how they bill for users or additional lines. The porting of our numbers from ATandT went smoothly. We did experience one brief outage that resulted in a delay on calls connecting but it was quickly corrected |

Jive is the bestPosted: Mar 22, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
This is an incredible system. I own a very expensive PBX system with one of my other companies and the Jive system beats every feature that my system has and more. Lets face it, even the most simple to use systems as Jive, will need some technical assistance. The support is quick, experience and most important American based. It is easy to get help and be up and running in no time flat! It is everything they promised and more. Everyday I find a new aspect that makes the system more valuable |

This was a very easy purchase. The system is intuitive. I recommend it. We are a start-up company and it is affordable. I also like the fact that it is month-to-month. I don't like to think that my company may not survive, but if that happens, I'm will not be stuck with a long-term phone contract |

GetJive - The Company name tells you what to do!Posted: Feb 28, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
My horror started long before I knew Jive was around. Our company moved into an office building, and on a very tight budget. We ended up getting a 25 year old, used ATT Merlin System for our phones. Bulky Clunky phones that didn't really provide any functions other then calling in and out. The administration for the system was horrible. And then the hunt began, I reviewed for months and months on different providers, and all of them were extremely insufficient, not knowledgeable in their product, or way too pushy of a sales person. As our current phone system was going under, the pressure to get a new system was climbing. In the end I presented 3 options to my board none of which was Jive. Our middle of the road option was RingCentral, that made the most sense in features, price, etc... My goal was to come in the next day and getting the ball rolling with RingCentral. For some reason I went home and ended up here on voipReview. And boy did my opinion change. RingCentral had some pretty bad reviews. And my judgment shifted to look for another provider, and I came across Jive, read the reviews and began checking them out. I initiated a chat with Jen, one of Jive's sales reps. There wasn't a question I asked that she couldn't have answered. I spoke with Jen over the next 24 hours and had my mind set on getting Jive for our company. I made my presentation the next afternoon, got the approval and begin the process. The setup could not have been any easier. I had a kickoff call with a Jive Rep that walked me through my system explained everything and how all the features work. Again, I couldn't ask any question that he didn't have an answer to. Our phones came on a Wednesday at 2PM. I had 15 phone lines to switch from our current system over to the new system. I had the entire system, up and running by 6PM. Our phone system was completely switched over to Jive in less then 4 hours. This also included 2 phones which were remotely located outside of our office, and never connected to interoffice dialing before Jive. To wrap up this long review, in a nutshell Jive has been amazing, I look forward to our future. If your still reading this review, go GETJIVE |

Jive is Amazing!!!Posted: Feb 25, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
When I originally started my search for a VOIP Service Provider I knew nothing about Voip Service. I needed 10 lines and 10 phones and I researched online a ton and called several of the providers. ex: Nextiva, 8x8, Ring Central etc. I really felt very pressured and like I was dealing with a used car salesman every time. I ultimately ended up going with Ring Central, mostly because I was under pressure to get something going and I felt like I was choosing between the lesser of the evils, honestly. I was told there was a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so I felt like I had nothing to really lose. I had spoke with the rep from Ring Central several times before I chose to go with them and he had called me several times to pressure me into signing up. Every time I called him before I actually signed up he answered right away. Once I signed up and had given him my credit card details the nightmare began. I was unable to reach him after that, I left messages and he did not return my calls. He told me my credit card would be charged $4000 but he promised me $2000 would be credited back to my credit card for signing up for the 10 lines and purchasing the phones. The credits did not show up and there was no explanation. The phones came and we tried to get everything set up and the tech support was awful. They didn't even have a lot of the services that our rep had promised. Just about everytime I called I ended up talking to someone that I couldn't understand and who couldn't understand me in India. I decided to cancel my service and send all of the phones back but now I had to find a different provider. Just as I was getting sick of all of the sales crap from all of the different providers out there I came across Jive. I initiated an online chat with a rep named Candace and then decided to get more information by calling. I suddenly felt my anxiety lifted as my questions got answered and the solutions to my problems were being answered. My rep was very friendly and knowledgable about the Jive service and the phones that they had to offer. She didn't pressure me at all, she only answered my questions and offered solutions that she could provide. After speaking with Candace and going over everything that our business needed in a Voip service I felt confident that I had found the right provider. I gave her my credit card details and placed my order and have never looked back. My phones came pre-configured and ready to go. Jive service is everything I hoped it would be. The phones that my rep reccomended are fantastic, the service is great, every time I have needed to call for answers to questions or for tech support I have spoke with a rep in the U.S. who is knowledgable and friendly (they even send follow up emails). I can't rave enough about how happy and relieved I am to have found a great VOIP provider that actually does what they say they are going to do. I am glad that I got away from Ring Central and I urge anyone to not listen to any of their own hype about how great they are because they are the WORST company that I have ever had to deal with!!!! And I am completely confident that anyone who tries it will absolutely regret it! Jive lives up to their promises and I can't imagine anyone being anything but completely happy with them |

Great Customer ServicePosted: Jan 24, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
When you have a relationship with a vendor that reflects your business it is important to have excellent service and support, as JIVE does. JIVE is easy to set up and whenever we have technical issues, JIVE is readily available to assist us. All of our employees may call and ask for help. We had a very difficult and strange problem and JIVE worked with our employee until it was resolved. It was actually in the phone circuit board but JIVE figured it out. This reasonably priced system allows our company to have many employees work from home yet maintain our branding and inter-connectivity. Periodically, there is static or lost calls and we want JIVE to "fix" it immediately----however we have learned it is usually the internet connection which is failing not JIVE system. JIVE might recommend updating a modem and recently determined that I didn't have a permanent IP address attached to my phone, thereby causing minor issues. Their excellent technicians solved it. A very nice company to work with |

Jive is easy to use and the quality of the call is nice. The price is great for a small startup like us. The customer service offered is good as well - our requests were always taken care of in a very timely manner and we never had to call back. Jive is FANTASTICPosted: Jan 02, 2013
The Good:
The Bad:
I own a small business in Manhattan and have been using Verizon for 8 years. After a particularly frustrating customer service encounter, it just seemed as if there had to be a better alternative - and also a cheaper one. A friend suggested Jive and they're everything I've been looking for, and more. I'm now paying a fraction of what I was paying with Verizon for infinitely better service. I have not noticed ANY difference in call quality - and now I have extreme functionality (like having voicemails e-mailed to me as they come in and a customize-able auto-attendant) and I really just couldn't be happier with the choice I've made |

I am a business owner who owned his own telephone system. I spent $11K on it only to find it had devalued to $1K a few years later. I began a search for a hosted option and settled on Jive. I have used Jive for several years now and could not be more satisfied. In addition to the standard features once would expect from a hosting company, they one of the only companies that offered call queuing, which for my business at the time, was a necessity. Their pricing is excellent and the support is stellar. You can't go wrong with Jive |

Jive Not Business ReadyPosted: Oct 31, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
I've used GetJive for about 4 months. The call clarity is good. Not great, but good. There is often a lag in the conversation, but it usually does not affect calls The main issue is outages. We've had several. Usually they are short, just 10 or 15 minutes, but we've had one that was 2 hours and one that was 10. Apparently, they only have one data center and if there is a hiccup there, you are toast. During the 10 hour outage, I lost about $5,000 of business and the damage to my business is certainly greater. During the outage, I received 8 emails that there was a problem with the service. I also received another 9 that said services were fully restored, but it actually took another 5 hours before service came back. We called for support, but were not able to get ahold of a live person for the first 6 hours. When we did get a live person, they told us to just wait for 30 more minutes. It was not possible at any point in the outage to get an ETA for when the system would be back online. If you are able to run your business not knowing if your phones will work, then GetJive is for you. But, if you are like me and cannot have your phones be out for more than a few minutes, then RUN, RUN, RUN from GetJive. Under no circumstances would I recommend GetJive to a friend. In fact, I would be happy to sit with them and would spend hours if needed to talk them out of it |

Unreliable outages, poor communicationPosted: Oct 31, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
We've been using Jive for over a year now, it's more money per line because of the way they charge but we went with them because of the reviews they had here on voipreview. The past several months have left me regretting that investment for the following reasons: 1) 2 service outages over the past couple of months lasting more than half a workday = lost $$,$$$.$$ (yes that's actually how much we estimate this cost us) 2) Their own phone lines are down when an outage occurs, redundancy people? I'm amazed that a phone company doesn't have some POTS lines to at least backup their own lines with. 3) With both outages there hasn't been communication from them about what's happening for hours. Today's outage took them 4 hours to send a email to everyone saying that they were working on service coming back on. FOUR HOURS for just a simple "yes we are still in business and there are people working on making your phones work again" message. This coupled with their own phone lines being down made me honestly consider that they may be out of business. I'm still waiting for our phones to turn back on, 7 hours in. 4) There is no option to have a fail-over number, my previous provider made this available to us in case their was an outage so at least we could take calls on our cell phone and our customers weren't left with a disconnected message. So in short, I think that this company might have had their act together at one point in time but right now if you are needing to have a reliable phone system with the redundancy and fail safes necessary I would suggest looking elsewhere. Jive just doesn't cut it for business class |

Service down at ONJIVE, assumed they had backup datacentersPosted: Oct 31, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
Looks like service is totally down at 10:02 am EST on October 31, 2012. I assume they used a datacenter on the east coast, and the problems are caused by Hurricane Sandy. But no way to contact, No notification on web site, and why not have backup datacenters on East and West coast. Reliability is important. We use VOIP so we can reroute phone calls in an emergency, but assumed the provider had first class redundancy built |

I have been struggling to get my VOIP working offshore. The Jive team are very knowledgable but they need to make sure their answers match the customers knowledge base. Example "So you would need to add the hotels wifi network to your PBX as trusted before using Bria, but once you do you shouldn't have an issue." As a customer, you need to figure out what a PBX is and how to add it as trusted yourself. It would be more useful to provide steps to solve the problem |

Amazing features give any size business a corporate toolset for an amazing value!Posted: Oct 02, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
As a small business it is sometimes difficult to adopt new technology not because of the cost of the actual device but because of the infrastructure required for the device and the new system. THIS PARADIGM CHANGES WITH JIVE! With Jive it is literally plug and play - order the service, connect your phones to your existing HSIA connection and you are done! It really is that simple. Now a small business is able to have dial plans for auto attendants, schedules for calling, conference extensions, virtual e-faxes (included in the service price) and much more! Your small business takes on the feel of a corporate office which is beneficial for both your staff and your clients - making it easier to connect to your client base while simultaneously facilitating your intra office productivity. The feature set that Jive offers speaks for itself and for the price it just cannot be beat. If you are looking for a hosted VoIP service I completely recommend Jive as your solution |

JIVE VIOP That Just WorksPosted: Sep 26, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
We run 3 businesses with 3 phone lines plus a toll free number with 3 sets of business hours plus our home numbers. we handle thousands of calls a month with just 3 or 4 reps. Those that call are screened based on the number called and time of day. Callers are properly routed or forwarded to home or cell if it is a personal call. Business calls are answered or forwarded to the call cue / voice mail and results are emailed to us for proper action. The previous VIOP provider could not figure this out and it never worked correctly and was always needing tweaking from tech support. Using the JIVE interface and one quick call to tech support I made all of this work all on my own. We get a lot more done with no problems and all of this is half the price of the previous VIOP provider |

Very Pleased!Posted: Sep 25, 2012
The Good:

I made the jump to VoIP about 3 1/2 years ago. Being 56 and a technophobe Iwas apprehensive but the folks at Jive assured me it would be ok. They were right. In that time I've experienced 3 short service disruptions and they fixed they problem in very short order. And I've realized enormous cost savings. My savings over our old system are approximately 65% over the last 3 1/2 years. But the best thing has been the people. Anytime I've spoken to Jive I've ALWAYS spoken with the same person, the woman who worked we me in the very beginning to set things up. How often does that happen?! The personal service has been exceptional |

The best provider in the industry, hands down.Posted: Aug 09, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
We have used Jive for our small company for about 2 years or so, and have been very happy. I personally tried a few other voip providers (big names in the industry, who I see on this site) and was not satisfied with their sound quality or had issues with downtime. One of the biggest providers in the industry advertised a 100% no downtime guarantee to us but had outages multiple times per month. With Jive we have never gone down and never have quality issues. Their support people are super friendly and they have grown a lot over the past few years since we started using them. Jive has done a fantastic job of giving us the tools we need to communicate and the features we need to save time. I would recommend them to anyone |

Jive was the ONLY one who completely met all the requirements we had. We are able to call out using their lines feature on each individuals business number and caller id name as well as when we get calls in identify where people are calling from to answer the phone correctly. Scott(support) and Jen(sales) took the time to hear me out and setup my account properly and really treated me like I was a BIG company even though my company is just a 3 person company. I cannot recommend them enough! :) P.S. That is not to mention their amazing visual dialplan designer that I have seen no where else.. |

Whenever we've contacted Jive for any reason, we get extremely quick and courteous service from everyone - Account Rep, IT Techs, etc., whether it's to place an order, update our account, or anything else. We also love the fact that we don't feel like we're either speaking with a machine or someone in another country. We have been very happy with the phone service and sound quality, and the PBX Interface is extremely easy to use. Would highly recommend Jive to anyone |

Jive: Far Beyond ExpectationsPosted: Mar 26, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive's customer support goes far beyond expectations. I recently had a very complicated task that I was trying to achieve. I was immediately able to speak with someone and instead of just answering my questions I was told, "There is a much more efficient way to do what you want, if you would like I can reprogram your system and also test it from here on our end to make sure it works." Umm... Okay!! And then I received a follow-up email with the technicians direct number which closed with, "Please call directly, any time. |

They have excellent voice quality, and their service is outstanding. Not to mention their customer service, is above all others. I had a small problem setting up my device to work on the jive network (not jives fault at all, I was the one making the mistake) their customer service stepped up and instantly helped me step by step fix the problem and they are ALWAYS there to help you. With English speaking agents. Their billing works with our grant funded program, you simply couldnt ask for anything more. |

Jive: Outstanding Customer ServicePosted: Feb 28, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
This is my first venture into a hosted VOIP solution, but I have to say that JIVE has convinced me there is no looking back! Originally I remember being put off a little by JIVEs name and slightly higher price. I contacted a close competitor first because their price was a touch lower and their name sounded more professional. After learning all I could about the competitors offering and getting a quote, I called JIVE and my concerns were immediately put to rest. Within minutes I was speaking to a live person (Candace) who helped answer all my questions and gave me a tour of their products and services. JIVEs online PBX was much more simple and easy to use than their competition. When I told Candace that I wanted to go with JIVE, but was having trouble justifying the additional expense, she offered to price match for me SOLD! IASLC had reservations about the call quality of VOIP in general, but especially a hosted solution. I made sure that VOIP had plenty of available bandwidth and high priority on my end and everything has been crystal clear and completely reliable from day one! I was a little concerned when I learned that the best Internet connection I could get for my 15 users was two .5Mb up and 1.5Mb down DSL connections, but with a little fancy routing and traffic shaping footwork even that can fly. Recently JIVE has been working on virtual-fax and e-fax services. After testing it out, I have to say JIVEs new fax product is great! I was able to quickly and easily setup a dedicated number for a physical fax machine in addition to another external number which would convert faxes to PDF and route those documents to two different employees for payment processing (secure fax). Finally, each employee is also able to receive faxes to their direct dial numbers too. The fax is detected, intercepted, converted to PDF, and emailed to my users on the fly! I cant get over how responsive and helpful JIVEs customer service has been! Each time Ive had a question or concern, JIVE has been a short Internet chat or phone call away. Recently I was contacted by a manager (Eric) on a simple support issue and when I asked why a manager was dealing with that type of issue he said that JIVE is working on hiring some more personnel but until they could be brought up to speed everyone at JIVE is working long and hard to pick up the slack to keep response times to a minimum. What a great attitude! JIVEs low prices and great technology hooked me as soon as I got past their name. The outstanding customer service from individuals like Candace and Eric will keep me coming back for more! I havent had any second thoughts about my purchasing decision, and I highly recommend you give JIVE a call today! |

Jive: Best Combo of Price, Quality, UsePosted: Feb 13, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
As an IT consultant, I have thoroughly researched over a dozen hosted VoIP companies. I believe that Jive has the best combination of pricing, quality of service and ease of use of any of the offerings out there. Initially we chose not to use them because their pricing model made them pretty expensive but they have since reevaluated their pricing structure and arenowmuch more aggressively priced. All of our clients have saved significantly by changing from the a la carte pricing model of the previous provider. Their offering is already feature-rich by comparison but they continue to actively add functionality and have just hired a number of new developers to continue to drive enhancements forward. All customer service and support is US based and is easily accessible with little to no hold time. Another thing that is often not considered is the usability of the website. All vendors will provide you with a web interface for configuring users, extensions and system functionality. Jive's web interface is superior to all I have experienced and is not only very fast but extremely usable. System configuration of call routing is done through a graphical drag-and-drop interface which reminds you of a flowchart. This make it SO much easier to see how calls will actually flow through the system as opposed to trying to visualize in your head how multiple auto attendants which are linked together with diffrerent timing structures will behave. This system is so intuitive that I was able to recreate my largest client's most complex programming easily and on the first try where it took multiple calls to the previous provider to get it to function as we wanted. Call reporting is very powerful and the system is designed to automatically detect the type of handset you are using and perform some configuration items automatically based on that information. Overall, the system is very well thought out and extremely flexible and we haven't experienced a minute of downtime since switching (certainly can't be said of our previous vendor) |

Jive: Great and Prompt Customer ServicePosted: Feb 10, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
I did a lot of research on VOIP providers before deciding on Jive. What settled the deal was their exceptional customer service. Sure, everyone is nice before you're a paying customer but Jive has consistently come through with their exceptional service even when they were not at fault. I once had an issue with my cable modem and their representatives quickly walked me through the problem and resolved it. My main concern about VOIP phone systems was the possible downtime but in the five months I've been with Jive, I've had no downtime at all. Even after adding a few more lines, the call quality has remained good. They also offer a ton of customization features that can be overwhelming but once again you're never left to figure it out all by yourself. There's always help from them. Highly recommended |

Have been a customer for over six months now with no service issues. Can't say enough about customer service as they make everything easy. Porting numbers was simple (from our end) - just had to wait on the several week process from the carrier. Flexibility offered by the virtual pbx has been very useful when needing to quickly add extra conference bridges or changing dial plans. Anyone looking for a better provider should consider Jive |

Jive: Completely SatisfiedPosted: Jan 23, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
I initially called Jive and spoke with Angela who said she would send me an email and that I would have to return it to her. Their application process is a bit cumbersome as you actually have to fill out paperwork and fax/email it back! Although normally I would be a little reserved about an online service provider making me do things manually (sort of an oxymoron), I took it in stride attributing it to their commitment to provide a quality network. Well at least I hope thats why theyre doing it! Within a couple days I received confirmation of my new number and I was given my login information. I was provided the opportunity to have a one-on-one setup and orientation. I declined it because I knew what I was looking for in a provider and I knew that on my own I would be able to figure things out. They also have a variety of video tutorials on youtube. I accidently messed things up in my control panel and was forced to call them for tech support and they resolved the issue for me in less than 1 minute. Both tech support and the initial sales staff are very friendly. In search of a VoIP hosted solution for our business I tried out 2 other providers as well. Neither of the other providers were able to give the level of support, knowledge or price that Jive was able to. Some people have mentioned that their prices are high. I would have to disagree and I really don't know what they are talking about. Most of the other providers provide bundled packages which cost more upfront. Jive's upfront costs are lower with available addons. This allows for greater flexibility and options therefore you don't have to pay for what you don't need. For example, a lot of other providers bundle a phone line with each extension for free and Jive doesn't. Lines are seperate from the base package. Initially line prices are $5 per line however they drop to $2.50 per line once you get over 10 phones (I think it's 10). Once you're at 10 phones your base price drops $6 per device and your line price drops as well. The 2 combined would be $26.45 per device. I looked at MANY other providers and none came in that low! As I mentioned in my "pros" Jive has one of the best control panels that allows for an awesome amount of customization. Call quality is great. We have one location that is DSL only (no other services / Rural location) and we experience no problems with multiple phones in use. The few issues that I have had with Jive, as descriped in the "cons", are my own observations of the system. I have talked with Jive Development Staff about these issues and they are always willing to listen. Their development team took my considerations seriously and even followed up with me letting me know that they would be implementing some of those suggestions in the near future. In talking with development, Jive has many things planned for it's growth and future within the industry and I'm happy to be along for the ride and can't wait to see the things that they have in store! Overall, we are completely satisfied with Jive and have recommended them to some of our clients as well. andnbsp |

Jive: So far not so goodPosted: Jan 11, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
We switched to Jive after reading the glowing reviews and needing get a provider that offered a more jitter free experience. Jive had a higher cost with the type of setup we needed, but we thought they imbued quality and were willing to ante up for it. It hasn't been a good experience thus far however, what we've experienced is a system riddled with bugs of varied degrees. The biggest of which right now is one where the pbx stops playing the ringing sound to the caller (although while still proceeding with the call on all other accounts) making them think the line has disconnected. They of course hang up and call back never being able to leave a voicemail and driving us crazy with trying to catch the call. Over the past month Jive's support, while being friendly and nice, hasn't been able to figure it out. Add that to the problem we started encountering this week of some calls only ringing once before actually disconnecting them, and it becomes a hindrance on your business. My evaluation is that it would appear Jive has the right theory going with treating the customer well, but just hasn't had the engineering time or muscle yet to create a reliable system the customer needs. I might check them out again in 5 yrs to see if that's changed |

Jive: Unbelievable SupportPosted: Jan 06, 2012
The Good:
The Bad:
The entire experience from searching for VoIP providers to initial selection to initial setup was all excellent with all contact points within Jive. After a month of no issues we suddenly started to have connection issues. We contacted Jive Tech Support and were provided with unbellievable support in determining the source of the problem and figuring out a solution. The issue ended up not being with any Jive service or provdied equipment but with our router. Tech support was extremely knowledgable and patient. The problem was corrected with minimal frustration and included an unexpected follow-up by Jive a day later to make sure everything was working correctly |

I recently switched the office over to VoIP service from ATandT. From beginning to end the process was straight forward and the customer service was impeccable. Jive: Quality service and pricePosted: Dec 26, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
Like most people, I did quite a bit of research about VOIP. I read the reviews at VOIPReview and talked to several providers before I made my decision. I almost didnt call Jive because of their strange name, but it would have been my loss. After a couple of phone conversations with Candace, I felt confident I wanted to do business with Jive. The Dial Plan is one of Jives best features; it allows you to easily set-up a simple or a complex Dial Plan or anything in between. After a one-hour web meeting with the Tech Department, I understood the set-up and quickly had my Dial Plan exactly the way I wanted it. Several providers that I contacted, said I would need multiple DID numbers or External Extensions for my Auto Attendant to call an outside number (which would have cost extra). Not with Jive, you simply drop in an Eternal Number box in your Dial Plan. Another great feature is the Reports section of my phone service. I was simply blown away by the amount of information given on my business calls! In closing, I will say that I like the phone quality, service and especially the price with Jive Communications. I am happy to recommend them to anyone! |

Jive: Easy ServicePosted: Dec 21, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive has been my telecom provider since the day I opened my business in January 2009. They were instrumental in helping me understand what my needs would be and in designing a system around my business. Shortly after signing up for the service a box showed up with the phones, I plugged them in and they worked. I've found that the system has a lot more features than what I am using so for anyone who needs all the bells and whistles, this is the solution. Also, the billing is very simple and straight forward. Unlike the help lines for some other companies there is always a friendly, easy to understand person on the other end of the line. I continue to recommend Jive to other business owners |

Jive helped me when I didn't know I needed itPosted: Dec 15, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
From the initial call to Jive for Sales till the day we cancelled our old provider I have been impressed with the customer service and response time. At first glance I sawall these reviews that give them such a high rating,I was skeptical. I believedthat there is no way the service wasgoing to be that good. We started because they gave us a trial period, we stayed because of the customer service and response time. Every department of Jive that I have worked with, provided me a quick answer to my question, detailed hands on or written instructions, they used whatever I needed at the time. This allowed me to learn to navigate the new system quickly. I use hard phones, soft phones and transferin coming calls to my cell at times. Our phone plan was set up in an hour, I called for assistance 30minuets later. Aftermy initial question wasanswered, the representative said"Inotice that your missing a sound bite in your phone plan.Do you need assistance with that? You can use one you'vealready created if you'd like." I missed puttingthe message in that spot and never noticed it, this was unrelated to the question I called in about. They helped me even when I didn't know I needed it. I am thankful a client didn't received a blank message.andnbsp |

Outstanding Customer Support - 1st ClassPosted: Dec 14, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
Overall, Jive communications is the best choice out there - by far. I have $200 Cisco router purchased at BestBuy a few years ago, and better than 3meg up/down internet speed and it has performed flawlessly. I've seen complaints of sound clipping elsewhere, but I can honestly say I think this has everything to do with router settings. If you want ANY VOIP phone to work, you need to have a router that provides QOS (Quality of Service) settings. What that means is that on the router, you can set the port the phone is plugged into to have priorty over the other ports. When someone is downloading a large file, or playing a game over the internet, the sound quality will remain consistent because the QOS setting ensures it always has enough bandwidth. I've been using Jive for 2.5 years and never experienced any problems that couldn't be quickly resolved. Most needs were things like making changes to how calls were routed, or adding/deleting users from the system. In cases where I forgot, a quick call to the Jive team resulted in action and resolution. I would highly recommnend Jive to anyone looking for a good small business solution |

Jive Rocks!Posted: Dec 08, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
We switched from running our own phone server (I know, really geeky right!) to Jive last month. The process of switching was seamless! We got a free trial so I could set up and test things out for a while. I had our entire phone system (26 extensions, 6 conference rooms, call queues, etc) set up in a few hours inside Jive. We wanted to make sure we had feature parity with the current system. Jive delivered and then some. The thing that I can't emphasize enough is the Jive administration interface is so easy to use and straight forward. It basically makes me look like a phone system superhero. I can make really advanced dial plans with ease. With the old system any change was painful torture, but with Jive it's downright fun! The total cost of Jive is actually cheaper than what we were paying for our T1's + long distance. So I get the benefit of someone else worrying about the technical details of running the phone servers plus a lower monthly bill. It's a no-brainer |

I highly recommend Jive. Only company that I found to be so transparentPosted: Nov 09, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I am a long-time Financial Services Recruiter that lives on the phone. There is no bigger decision for a small company like ours than phones. I researched every leading VOIP provider; read every review I could get my hands-on and focused only on the negative reviews to learn what the worst cases were. It seemed from Jive that as long as I purchased the Polycom phone from them with a solid router, I would be trouble free-I am! I have never written a review prior to this one. Jennifer helped me through the quote process and specifically in providing the exact set-up I needed (a main number and direct dial numbers for me and my partner). We seem like a much larger company with our customized auto-attendant. I wasn't able to totally update our greeting so I called customer service. The Tech was great and helped me with that and a few other minor questions I had. The best part is the voice is the clarity - truly amazing (first time with HD phones). It sounds as if we are in the room with our caller not on the phone. This is a huge step up over Vonage. The only thing I miss is a transcript of the calls from voicemail. I got very use to reading the message. It is a minor point and definitely not a make or break. I highly recommend Jive. Check out their videos on their website; only company that I found to be so transparent. I received exactly what I expected |

Re: Jive CommunicationsPosted: Nov 08, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
From the 1st phone call with the sales associate I could tell there was something different about Jive. The other calls I made looking for pricing, phone hardware, etc. were all vague and non-specific with prices. They seemed to be in the business of "ballparking" everything. The Jive sales associate went over each feature in detail and a few minutes after completing the call I got a very professional quote via email showing all the pricing for the system we were looking for. It was their promise to me of the service and features we discussed in detail and in writing. It was refreshing to know just what the costs would be instead of the "guesstimates" I got from every other carrier I called. Our initial set-up wentwrong from the beginningbut the support technicians worked extremely hard to get everything up and running. We had some building issues, etc. but they plugged away until we got everything solved. I've not experienced support like Jive's EVER. They are very knowledgable about their systems and are always willing to work through whatever issue you are having (small or large) to completion. They are prompt in completing any research needed to troubleshoot or problem solve. I don't want it to sound like I've had to make a lot of service calls. I haven't, but this is my first time using VoIP and I needed some guidance in getting started, etc. The support technicians are the best!Based on the sales and service I highlyrecommend Jive. Our staff has enjoyed the "find me follow me" feature and the ability to design the dial plan was new to me but I have completely embraced it. We are looking forward to a long relationship with the Jive team |

Jive: Great Customer servicePosted: Oct 26, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
They are reponsive to letting you know if there is going to be any maintenence. Over the 2+ years that we have been with them I can only think of 2or 3 outages and that lasted only a hour tops. Customer service is very helpful. Our current bandwith is on the low end, we are only using Business DSL with 5 workstations, 2 servers, and 4 VOIP phones and they quality is still pretty good, we never get any dropped calls, but sometimes its broken up. We are moving to Comcast Buiness Cable in winter and that should greatly improve quality. So the quiality is not really Jives fault but our low bandwidth, just make sure you have enough. Make sure your phones are SIP |

Jive Communications ReviewPosted: Oct 21, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
We have been a JIVE customer since 2008 and love it. We spent a lot of time back then finding a provider and reviewing ratings from customers. It is nice to know that I can write this positive review as well since it is so important to a small business to make the right choice. Buy from get Jive too and you will not be disappointed! Set up is a snap with their customer service department and the ease of use and features are extensive. In fact, we still don't scratch the surface of any of these features, but it is great to know that they are there if you need them.andnbsp |

Jive Communications - Great Economical Option for Phone ServicePosted: Oct 20, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
We have been with Jive Communications for about 4 years now and are 100% satisfied with the service. Jive made it so easy to get all setup and up and running in no time. There customer support is always friendly and eager to assist with upgrades or questions. Phone service is very affordable. We were paying over $400 month phone bill for long distance and 1 phone line with no auto attendant with our local phone company. Then we found Jive and now we are only paying about $150 a month, have 3 phone lines, multiple extensions and a very detailed Auto Attendant Phone System put in place via Jive. When our clients call in, it sounds like they are calling into a fortune 500 company now. We have multiple options setup like press 1 to place an order, press 2 to check your status. It's just awesome!! We have never experienced any down time - the service is very clear voice quality and it is reliable!! So we just want to say that we are very happy customers and anyone having second thoughts about giving Viop phones a try - take the leap and give Get Jive a try because they are AWESOME and the best out there HANDS DOWN!!andnbsp |

I would recommend the company of Jive to anyone as well as their corded phones. The features that are possible are amazing. I feel that my small business has the capabilty of larger companies with transferring, holding in a que, ring groups, calling trees and so much more. I also think the customer service reps have always been very courteous and polite. I feel like each time I call they are helpful in suggestions of how to make the phones work better for my company |

Jive Communications: My business has blossomed because I can have staff anywherePosted: Oct 07, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I carrya VOIP phone with me to conferences and on every business trip -- I am amazed how hotels are very accomodating. My business has blossomed because I can have staff anywhere. Our newest person is in Hawaii and we are constantly amazed -- she is not only one botton away, it sounds like she is in the next room.My firm just expanded with a new partnership. Our new partner decided he would work from his home and was going to use some local VOIP provider and I screamed "NO" -- check out JIVE. He is amazed at all the features and now is bringing staff in and having her work from one of our offices - giving us the receptionist we haven't had. I have no doubt part of it is because he believes we are really "with it" and on top of the technology curve.andnbsp |

We've been a happy Jive customer for 4 yearsPosted: Sep 29, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
We've been a happy Jive customer for 4 years. The setup was easy and they helped us configure our menu system to meet our unique routing needs. Some of our workers are remote and Customer Service is very helpful getting the phones to work nicely with home routers/firewalls. We've even been able to run a phone off a 4G connection. The upgraded system is a significant improvement. The admin is much easier to use and has added some nice new features. However, the upgrade process was a little problematic and took us a couple days to totally work through. Overall, we're very happy with Jive |

The customer service at Jive Communications is terrificPosted: Sep 28, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
The customer service at Jive Communications is terrific. My company was in the process of merging accounts with another company as well as installing new phones of a different manufacturer than the ones I am used to working with. Jive's customer service - in particular Nick - were extremely helpful in getting me (a technologically challenged person) to install the phones. The only hitch was the paperwork needed to change the phone line of the new company. The forms for processes like incorporation of one existing account into another were sent via email and the first time around it was a bit confusing whether they needed those forms faxed or simply emailed back...for future reference you need only fill out the form on the computer and email it back |

Jive was comptetive and their website was crystal clearPosted: Sep 16, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
We've been up for a week, so far weare 100% satisfied. We have offices in NY (6 lines) and SF (15 lines) and started by looking at Hosted VOIP that could use the Linksys/Cisco SPA phones we already owned from our previous system. Jive was one of these, their price was competitive, and their website was crystal clear about their service. We picked them, and the experience has been light years better than with our previous providers. Knowledgeable staff at every level, they answered every question without an extra phone call. andnbsp |

Jive Communications: Exteremly professionalPosted: Sep 15, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
Once I signed up, I received an email welcoming me to Jive. I received a call from the installation specialist who started asking questions so that he could setup my find me /follow me and voice mail options. If did not even realize that I was getting a find me/follow me serivce. Unfortunatly, I could not stay on the phone that point so he made an appointment with me for the next day. Just as my appointment alarm went off, my phone rang. It was Jive to finish my installation. The installation took less than 30 minutes total and that included me making some serious changes to my firewall. If I had not had the firewall that I have, we would have had my Bria softphone up and running in about 15 minutes including the time he took to configure my find me/follow me and voice mail. My other throughup their hands attempting to configure Bria and left it to me |

Love, love, LOVE JivePosted: Sep 07, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
When we decided to change our phone systems to VOIP, we looked into several companies. Jive won out in the competition with flying colors. Our sales rep, Candice, was very educated and passed that knowledge onto us in a friendly, non-forceful way. The number one thing that sold us on Jive was that they hosted everything for us on their end. No heavy equipment had to be installed or anything like that. Updating the phone system is a piece of cake ( like adding or changing an extension to a new user). Customer support is always a phone call away, and they ALWAYS solve my questions or problems within seconds. We have had Jive for over three years, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. Their customer service was the second thing that sold us on Jive, and I must say, it has not decreased from day one. With some companies, you have all the help in the world until you actually become a customer, but that is not the case with Jive. They have kept us happy every step along the way. Love, love, LOVE Jive!!!andnbsp |

The phones and product are a progressive way to manage my business in this quick changing world of electronics. Programming is a breeze thanks to an hour long phone training appointment. Jive's been my choice time and time againPosted: Aug 08, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I couldn't imagine having my phone system with anyone else. I've been responsible for telecommunications for a few organizations over the years, and Jive's been my choice time and time again. At first, I thought I could outsmart everyone and build a calling system for virtual offices and employees via a combination of various products out there (VoIP, virtual PBX, mobile phones, land lines, etc.). I should have just called Jive from the get go. Sales, set up, pricing, and all that good stuff was super easy and straight forward. Even though we work in a "virtual world", it's still nice to feel "connected", and the phone and system features do a great job doing that for my org. End users have plenty of options for making their phone work for them without needing an IT degree, and I can keep the rest all neat and tidy via the web admin. And if I get into a pickle, Jive's customer service is available to help! I can't imagine having to deal with one of the larger, well-known telephone or cable companies for their "customized" solutions ever again. Everything about Jive just WORKS. Let's face it - there are plenty of options out there that can do similar things. I stick with Jive because I know I'm going to get great service for the price be it technical quality, advice, or support. I have never had a better partner in my business than Jive. They get me. I really don't know how they do it. As long as they keep on doing it, though, I'm a very happy customer. (One fun fact. My org hosts large conferences and events, and we use our Jive system onsite to keep our expected level of customer service. One of the phones was damange during transit. Jive helped me try to find a local retailer from who I could by a VoIP replacement. When none surfaced with a satisfactory phone, they overnighted a new phone ready to work just like the old one! And, after we settled back into our offices, they contacted me to see if we needed help repairing the old one! Now THAT'S service. |

Jive Communications is greatPosted: Aug 03, 2011

I have been with Jive for nearly 4 years. Recently started a new account for our small company. Great service and flexibility. They seem able and willing to provide anything VOIP related that we need. Added a vanity toll free with no fuss, then helped me resolve how to handle the calls from that number in a very creative way. The responses have been very professional and prompt when needing information, support or answers. The pricing is fair. Recently, there was a system upgrade that provides amazingly superior voice quality and many enhanced features on the polycomm phone. It is a win-win relationship. I feel that there has been significant value provided by this vendor for my business. A terrific service |

Jive Communications has been great. From the beginning, we had a very good account represenative that helped us make the switch and save money. We did start off with a low quality phone and we had some latency issues. However, since we upgraded to the polycom HD voice, everything has worked great. Jive has been really easy to work with. Reliable is a great word to sum up Jive!Posted: Jun 29, 2011

The Bad:
I really was in a delima when I had to choose a voip phone service for my company. I had just finished dealing with the local telephone company and the internal connections in the office and wires everywhere and was afraid the voip service would be worse than my local phone company....although I through our local company was horrible. I talked to a lot of people, checked out a number of sites and, actually, this site or one like it helped me make my decision to go with Jive. I knew they were a smaller company and that made me a little anxious but decided to go with them. Since then I have had as many as 10 phones on the system with them, with music on hold, a receptionist phone to as few as two phones and the service was and is the same.....Excellent!! They are quick to respond to any issues. They are responsive if I had any issues or questions on a bill. They gave me good service, professional treatment, and most important of all my phones worked as they were supposed to. I would not switch to any other service even if they gave it to me for free. Jive charges a truly fair fee for their services, which I do think is below most others. I can't say enough about this company!! They give what they promise and more. What a concept in today's market place....getting exactly what you pay for and more |

Jive has always been fantasticPosted: Jun 08, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I signed up with Jive back in October 2008. As one could imagine, there have been some bumps over the years and service hasn't always been spotless. But, Jive has always been fantastic and we've stayed with them for a reason. I would estimate that since I signed up, Jive has had an uptime of 99% or better. Jive has also been very active in upgrading their services. The current online interface is almost too easy to use and it's kind of fun to set up my own call paths. Of course, I can always call and have them set it up, but the graphical interface allows me to conceptualize the call path and do pretty cool stuff with our phone system. Their staff is always fantastic and they put forth effort to resolve problems quickly. Over the years, I have explored other options and providers. I've signed up for demo accounts and tested out other services. There is no doubt that some services are cheaper. Jive's pricing structure includes virtually unlimited access to all of their features while other providers may take an al la carte approach. My office does not use many of the features available to us, and as a result could save a few bucks with an al la carte provider. However, these other services seem unrefined compared with the online functionality of Jive. I would love to see a click-to-call feature in the near future and also a way to record conversations through the online interface. Maybe even a way to transfer and manage calls through a web application. I have recommended jive to several people |

Jive review: Very Professional, Full-Featured VOIP SystemPosted: Jun 01, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
When I started my business 4 years ago I knew that I wanted a VOIP system similar to what I was used to when I left the large multi-national company I was working for. I also knew that I didn't have the resources to pay for that system. That's what I love about JIVE! All of those same 'big boy' features for a fraction of the cost. When I was shopping around for different services, those BIG PLANS would have cost me upwards of $2,000 just to have set up, and then the monthly fees were in the hundreds. With Jive you get the same phone with the same features with the same scalability for just a couple of hundred to set up and a super low monthly fee (which is even less than the standard land line from the phone company). Get Jive! Their name says it all.. |

As a small business owner, having the appearance and presence of a large and professional organization is very appealing. Using Jive phones in multiple businesses has helped us achieve just that while giving us the ability to focus our attention on providing customers the support they deserve. The Jive system is extremely reliable, the call quality is clear, and best of all it gives us global reach from literally anywhere. The few times we have needed support, it was provided very quickly and our issues were solved. The phones are incredibly easy to set-up. Custom Dialing plans also made our lives easier as those were very easy for us to create and adjust on the fly. Overall we have enjoyed working with JivePosted: May 18, 2011

We have been using Cox as our PBX. We switched to Jive last year and have been super pleased with our service and tech support getting set up. There were a few situations we had to work through but our over all satisfaction is very high. Their tech service has been helpful too. The only suggestion I would have is to keep the tech line open longer (for those of us who work 24/7). Jive has allowed our company to grow and relocate our company without the complexity and hefty cost of traditional PBX equipment. We offer 24/7 customer service and its good to know that if we do have issues we can count on Jives tech support to help us out very fast. Jives sales team is also very friendly and helpful and responds quickly. Pricing is also very, very reasonable and helps our bottom line as we continue to grow. We also love the fact that the tools they offer online give GREAT stats and reports. Overall we have enjoyed working with Jive and appreciate the fact that they can grow as we grow. andnbsp |

One of our employees is a mom who works from home and she has a Jive phone and we call her from the office - it is like she is here in the office. Also her clients can call the firm and press her extension number and it is like she is here in the office. It gives you flexibility to have remote workers. Also, I love the emails voice mail feature - whenever I get a voicemail at the office, it automatically gets emailed to my iphone so i never miss anything. I highly recommend Jive. They also have a great online system that lets you control your phone system and set call forwarding and messaging functions. andnbsp |

I have been a happy Jive Communications customer for over two yearsPosted: May 11, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I have been a happy Jive Communications customer for over two years. I run two businesses out of my home and have a home line, two business lines with roll-overs and two different toll-free numbers. I had been paying Verizon about $350 per month for this service. My bill with Jive is slightly less than $100 a month. I did have to buy some VOIP phones at several hundred dollars each, but that cost was recovered in the first few months. When you call Jive about anything you quickly get a person who can, and wants to, help you. So untypical of most telephone companies. I'm a very happy Jive customer. |

When we switched to Jive they were very responsive to the problems we had been havingPosted: May 10, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
After a string of really bad office phone systems, we knew we had to make a change. When we switched to Jive they were very responsive to the problems we had been having and worked with us to make sure we would no longer have the static and interference that plagued our calls in the past. Customer service and technical support were always available to help us and stayed on the line with us as we tried to work out the bugs with our internet provider. Jive has also allowed us to keep offices in two separate states and get ahold of one another by just dialing an extension |

As you can tell, I am a big fan. With previous systems the quality was good at best and normally poor. Jive has provided not only excellent clarity but if we do have a question or want a different configuration, support has been helpful and complete |

Review: Jive CommunicationsPosted: Feb 26, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I switched to Jive 2 years ago and havent looked back. The service and support are excellent, and having a hosted PBX frees our company from any telephone location restrictions. We have people working from multiple locations across the country, and we all have a full featured PBX system. My only other comparison with VOIP is Vonage for a second line at my house. Jives features and support are MUCH better, and the cost is nearly identical. Sales and support are friendly and helpful, what more could you ask for? I also like the bundled pricing. Other plans may "look" cheaper, but when you add in the features you want, Jive is very competitively priced. The new call routing software is a nice feature for people who like to do it themselves. The call reports are another nice addition. I would recommend Jive to anyone |

Jive Review: Been using Jive for 2 years and have had no problemPosted: Feb 01, 2011
The Good:
The Bad:
I have been using Jive for 2 years and have had no problems. The feature set is more inclusive than some systems. Having a conference bridge included is a big deal for us. They also just released a new web interface that lets you have incredible flexibility over how the entire system operates. We have no office and are able to seamlessly link a group of people with desk phones and cell phones. Our customers have no idea that we are all working in separate offices |

New Jive Business CustomerPosted: Apr 03, 2009
The Good:
The Bad:
I have been very pleased with the friendliness of the personel at Jive Communications and the sincerity they've shown in obtaining me as a customer at Jive. I rated quality of service 4/5 because usually when I call with a question I have to wait or have them call back in about 15-20 minutes in response to my question, which isn't a huge deal. However, when I finally do touch base with them the service is good and the people seem friendly. The Polycom phones I ordered are simple enough to use. I wouldn't mind having more volume control in the handset but keep in mind that I am hearing impaired and own an Audiology practice that works with hearing impaired individuals so I am rather picky regarding volume control. The phone is easy enough to use but i would have liked to receive a more thorough instruction manual for the phone because I feel the electronic .pdf manual Jive e-mails you is too simple and doesn't explain all the features of the phone well enough. Additionally, I would have appreciated a schematic as to how the phones work with a computer network. I didn't realize that every phone that is ordered has to plug into the router directly. Therefore if you are ordering more than 2 phones make sure you plan to place your router in the center of the office and pre-plan to have the office wired as needed. I started to get nervouse after I received my Jive phones because I then proceeded to shop for internet service. The difficulty with shopping for internet is that most providers want to "bundle" their phone and internet, which can kick up the price. Phone companies don't seem adjusted to the idea that you can get phone service from anyone when using VOIP. I ended up getting a DSL line from Frontier Communications. Frontier gives you 1 analog line with a DSL internet connection, which is fine because I needed an analog line for the fax line and credit card machine. You can't use either with VOIP unless you're using web-based fax or credit card processing, which has its limitations as well. I will monitor as time goes on to determine whether I have chosen the most cost-effective route for phone and internet. It was amazingly simple to set up the phones. Basically I plugged them into the router and they just worked...just iike my MAC computers! I was able to get the phone numbers I requested without any difficulty but it took Jive a few weeks to confirm the availability of my 1-800 number so I would recommend that if you are opening a new business and seeking service from Jive that you begin the process at least 1 month before opening. This is about all I have to share regarding Jive. Hope this is a helpful review. I don't have much to say regarding call quality since I havent't had the phones long enough. However, keep in mind that if you have 1 analog line in the office and the internet shuts down you can always temporarily forward your VOIP phone number to the analog line so you have a working phone in your office. Jive Communications: VoIP to meet our needsPosted: Sep 09, 2008
The Good:
The Bad:
We were needing to find a VoIP phone service that could meet our specific needs and we believe we have found it. We were spending a large amount of money monthly trying to use and maintain our own Cisco phone system. Having to deal with local and long distance phone carriers is never fun. On top of that we didn't have the Cisco certified staff available that could maintain the equipment we had. Bitting the bullet and searching for a VoIP provider was initially nerve racking but it really smoothed out once we spoke with Jive. They provided us with demo equipment and reassured us the transition would be smooth. They were right. They even let us test the system extensively with a good money back guarantee, just in case we ran into issue that we didn't like. We have been using the system now for over a month. The last phase is to cut all ties to our local and long distance phone carriers and see the savings |

Jive Communications: Excellent ProductPosted: Jul 10, 2008
The Good:
The Bad:
The ordering process was very easy, and my sales rep was very helpful. It took a little longer than I expected for my account to be esatablished, and for my phones to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I would allow about 10 business days for your phones to be up and running. Once I received all 10 phones, I plugged them in and I was fully operational in minutes. The equipment is excellent, and the phone quality I would rate as better than a POTS line. I am using a T1 internet connection with 10 phones, and we usually have about 5 simultaneous calls. Never had a glitch |

Jive Communications: best business VoIPPosted: May 16, 2008
The Good:
The Bad:
Jive is the best business VOIP! I am so glad I found Jive Communications for our business VOIP. They were recommended to me by a techie whom I trust and I also found them top-rated on this website. I couldn't be any happier with their company, customer service, phone system and features, tech support and price. At every step of the way Jive has been truly awesome to work with and I couldn't ask for anything more. I wish every partner / vendor of ours was as good as Jive. Thank goodness Jive was our first choice and we didn't have to suffer with other business VOIP providers, like many others have before they found Jive. Save yourself the grief and go with Jive right away like we did. It was one of the best choices we've ever made |
Happy I Made The Switch
After switching from $150K Shortel phone system, I had my doubts. I was waiting for a VOIP solution that I could trust and also had a ACD (automatic call distribution). Jive had what I was looking for. I have about 150 phones with multiple call queues. Although VOIP has its issues with dependency on the public Internet, Jive has done a very good job of having automatic backup recovery planning built in. We are very happy with their service and customer support. Everyone is always so helpful. My favorite part is that I am saving thousands of dollars a month in telco charges and maintenance charges from my legacy phone system.
