Virtual Phone Line Members Get Public Profile and Dialer
1 January 2010
Super Technologies, Inc. announced that the Virtual Phone Line community at http://www.virtualphoneline.com can now drive more of the kind of people and communications to them that they want through the new public profile feature. Virtual Phone Line has become an empowering social network for small businesses, organizations and individuals.
"How does this work? Login and click on the word 'profile.' There are two options to make your very own Virtual Phone Line public profile. One, if you have already purchased a Virtual Phone Line, your profile page can look like this: http://www.virtualphoneline.com/profile/18504393332 (for example).
Or choose a user name for your special Virtual Phone Line profile page such as http://www.virtualphoneline.com/profile/suzanadana," stated Muneeb Iqbal, a Super Technologies' general manager.
VPL social community members may decide which items they want to show on their profile page such as picture, location, the virtual phone line numbers they have purchased, and if they have voicemail enabled. They also decide if they want to display their profile publicly (web searchable), and whether they want to show their own dialer, so anyone can call them from their own personal public profile page. This website address pointing to their Virtual Phone Line profile page is often added to the members' business cards, email signatures and business or blog website.
Julia Laurent, a Virtual Phone Line social network member and avid Alibaba shopper says, "I never knew there was such a thing like Virtual Phone Line. Now I can buy anything from my favorite Japan-based stores on Alibaba because I have a Tokyo phone number even while I am studying my masters in London, UK. Plus my family and friends in Tokyo can call my Tokyo Virtual Phone Line number and it rings me where I want it to ring. Everyone has my Virtual Phone Line profile website and even access to my own dialer!"
Many have Virtual Phone Lines from several different countries to establish a local presence via a phone number in certain cities important to them around the world. The members point the "DID phone numbers" to any of several choices: MSN instant messenger, Yahoo instant messenger, Gizmo5 (now Google), GoogleTalk, Skype, Truphone, fring or any SIP client such as Vippie.
There is also an option called SHARE where members can choose to share their Virtual Phone Line public profile page on any of several dozen social networking sites, blog areas, instant messengers, email sites, and bookmarks such as Facebook, Yahoo, Blogger, WordPress, and GoogleTalk.
