D-Link Vice President Nick Tidd Named Top 25 Channel Maverick of 2009 by ChannelWeb

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec 21, 2009 - Nick Tidd, vice president of sales for D-Link Pan America and vice president of marketing for D-Link North America, has been named a 'Top 25 Channel Maverick' by ChannelWeb, a publication that delivers strategic information and useful business tools to solution providers and other channel professions.

"In little more than a year on the job, Tidd has provided the maverick spark that D-Link needed to pack a bigger punch in the intensely competitive business networking market," notes the ChannelWeb editors.

"You can see it in the channel programs, the marketing and the flat-out more aggressive market-share grab in areas as diverse as security/surveillance, storage, switching and its traditional sweet spot, wireless networking," the publication states of Tidd's impact at D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business.

The Top 25 Channel Mavericks of 2009 "bucked the system with brash, bold thinking to make sure that solution providers weren't caught in the economic down-draft," according to ChannelWeb.

The publication also lauded the Mavericks as "independent, make-it-happen channel chargers who made big bets to aggressively grab market share with channel enhancements and cutting-edge products that blew partners away. These are the executives who broke the rules to bring big profits to partners in 2009."

With more than 20 years of corporate sales experience, including managing director of 3Com Canada, D-Link hired Tidd in August 2008 to develop business sales strategies and channel development in North America.
