SAN JOSE, Calif. — December 14, 2009 - NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQGM: NTGR) a worldwide provider of technologically innovative, branded networking solutions, today announced that its newest Cable Modem, the CMD31B, achieved DOCSIS® 3.0 certification in CableLabs® Certification Wave 71.The CMD31B bonds eight downstream and four upstream channels, significantly exceeding the minimum 4 x 4 requirement of the DOCSIS 3.0 specification. The resulting data rates of up to 320 Mbpsdownstream and 120 Mbps upstream enable cable operators to deliver the most advanced service offerings available to residential and Small- to Medium-sized Business (SMB) customers.
