3 June 2009
Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. (“NET”, NASDAQ: NWK) announced today that Unity Systems has become a Value Added Distribution partner in Australia and New Zealand. Through its parent company, Distribution Central Pty Limited, Unity Systems will provide a procurement avenue for NET’s resellers in the ANZ region.
Unity Systems extends the concept of value-added distribution beyond traditional fulfillment and support services by utilizing automation and online access. NET’s resellers gain a local team to facilitate the procurement of NET’s products, reducing the complications of currency exchange and overseas shipping. In addition, NET will be able to focus its resources in the ANZ region on business development, educating the market and partners on the benefits of its innovative unified communications (UC) solutions.
“Our enterprise customer base continues to expand globally as a result of the emerging UC market and our ability to integrate new UC platforms into existing voice networks. Teaming with key regional value added distributors such as Unity Systems brings a host of valuable services to NET customers in Australia and New Zealand,” said Matthew Krueger, Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Business Development. “Unity Systems has the expertise and business savvy to provide customers with the best solutions on the market, and we are pleased to be working with them.”
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, NET has developed an extensive knowledge base to support Microsoft’s unified communications technologies and understands the need for seamless integration when introducing new communications technologies into existing voice networks.
“Unity Systems partners with vendors that deliver cutting-edge IT initiatives and contribute to an integrated, seamless business solution for the end user,” said Nick Verykios, Sales & Marketing Director, Distribution Central. “The NET solution fits perfectly within the unified communications focus that the Unity Systems portfolio brings to the market and also provides Microsoft integration capabilities within the UC
