Google Has Finally Ready to Launch Number Porting Google Has Finally Ready to Launch Number PortingGoogle Has Finally Ready to Launch Number Porting

30 January 2011

From now Google offers to use Google Voice to follow all calls. For company it took rather long time to launch the service but the possibility to transfer your mobile phone number to account in Google Voice is finally opened.
The price for service is $20 on Google's end with additional costs as you negotiate the number away from your operator. For some users it will be necessary to cancel mobile phone contracts and to transfer the number to Google. Other users may be able to cooperate with their carrier to choose a new mobile phone number and transfer their number to Google Voice without fees. Using your main phone number as Google Voice line, all calls would be directed back to your mobile phone or land lines, answered from Gmail inbox and displayed with visual voicemail direct in your email.
Recently Google has passed a test letting the number porting pages stay live checking the process. After the possibility was shut down leaving users to wait for official launch of the service.
