As well known smartphone applications offer an opportunity to make calls from mobile phone via VoIP service provider. Some of applications for iPhone and Android can be configured offering to make calls via your own IP-capable PBX.
However, there was no way to make a smartphone call direct via a typical consumer-level VoIP analog telephone adaptor.
With a recent update of smartphone applications from Obihai Technology customers receive the company’s OBi110 desktop analog telephone adaptor with the power to transmit calls dialed on Android-based smartphone or iPhone, turning the $50 device to work as virtual mobile carrier.
