 Juniper Networks and Nokia Siemens Networks Hold 100G Interoperability Testing

Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper Networks have successfully passed 100 Gbps interoperability testing between routers and Optical Transport Network (OTN). The testing was held at Nokia Siemens Networks’ ResIP Center in Germany. Nokia Siemens Networks will show up tested 100G line cards at OFC/NFOEC conference in California, March 8-10, 2011.
The testing was held to check seamless interworking for Juniper’s T1600 core router and Nokia Siemens Networks’ hiT 7300 DWDM platform, deploying native 100 Gbps Ethernet interface.
The official roll-out for 100G on Nokia Siemens Networks’ hiT 7300 is planned for summer 2011.
