 Lightower Announced the Completion of Open Access Acquisition

Lightower Fiber Networks has finalized the company’s latest acquisition of Open Access Inc. This deal significantly enhances Lightower’s network presence in New York City and Long Island.
The completion of the Open Access acquisition serves to the major purpose set by Lightower - to provide company’s business clients with a larger portfolio of service over fiber.
With this merger, Lightower receives additional backbone fiber and last mile fiber access to more than 230 data centers and commercial buildings in the region.
Customers of both Open Access and Lightower win out in this deal. Customers of Open Access will have access to services offered by Lightower (dark fiber, Ethernet, SONET, Internet access, wavelengths and collocation) as well as to service locations. As for Lightower's clients, they will receive access to Open Access's on-net commercial buildings and connectivity to additional interconnectivity facilities.
