 Allband Has Chosen Calix’s solutions to Deliver Fiber Broadband Services

Calix Inc. has recently stated that Allband Communications Cooperative has chosen the EXA Powered Calix C7 Multiservice Access Platform (MSAP) as well as E7 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) together with the 700 GE/GX suite of optical network terminals (ONTs) to provvide fiber-based broadband services to Alcona, Alpena, Oscoda and Montmorency Counties in northeast of Michigan.
Allband will use gigabit passive optical network (GPON) technology in order to bring advanced broadband services via fiber: extremely fast data services, high quality VOIP services to about 2,000 residences, companies and community institutions.
The Ethernet Architecture (EXA) supported by C7 MSAP and E7 ESAP, together with the 700GE/GX suite of ONTs, represent integral parts of the Calix Unified Access fiber solutions portfolio that is widely used in North America.
