T-Mobile and Facebook have officially stated about launching a free voice-chat app - Bobsled allowing calling friends from the Facebook app or to send a voice message.
According to the first reports, major VoIP providers may be worried knowing that Facebook's half a billion users can use voice communication.
Some commentators called the newly released voice-chat application as "Skype killer". The contacts you call do not need to install the application.
T-Mobile’s representatives have stated that 88% of Facebook users that had been surveyed claimed that they wanted voice chat.
The new application has been test-marketed on Facebook, with the brand name Vring.
