Sprint's wireline business is still under influence of the ongoing falling prices for VoIP services and reduced traditional voice business volume.
In Q1, Sprint's wireline revenue lowered 14% year-over-year.
Sprint's IP-based network migration is leading down operating expenses. In Q1 2011, Sprint's total wireline operating expenses reduced up to the mark in $1 billion.
Sprint has reported Q1 2011 that consolidated net operating revenues reached about $8.3 billion, it is a 3% increase from Q1 2010; posted operating income was announced as $259 million.
