The legislative body has approved use of VoIP technology in order to improve efficiency and lower travel commitments for House and Senate members. Now members of the US Congress are allowed to deploy Skype and OoVoo VoIP as well as video chat to conduct meetings.
This move represents an example of the government progress in comparison with previous uncharacteristically aggressive attitude in adoption of new technology.
