D2 Technologies, one of leaders in embedded IP communications software platforms, has recently announced an upgrade to company’s mCUE converged communications client.
The platform is applicable to Android OS mobile handsets, IP media phones, connected TVs/STBs; now the mCUE provides support for the Apple iOS for iPhone and iPad.
The upgrade to mCUE includes multi-party video conferencing (ad hoc and server-based) through a platform-improved embedded media engine that is capable of operating on the broadest line of 4G wireless (WiFi, WiMAX, LTE) and wired broadband networks.
mCUE represents a complete IP video calling solution; it supports standard voice and video CODECs and offers wideband CODECs for HD voice as well as Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC). Moreover, it is interoperable with most of IMS cores and provides carrier-grade quality as well as multi-protocol support for popular social networks and numerous enterprise UC/IPPBX systems.
