Skype, the VoIP giant, has recently announced the update of the company’s client software for Apple Mac to version 5.3 that provides support for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Skype’s latest version of the Internet chat software offers various improvements and fixes to the interface. Moreover, the new version also provides support for HD video calls in case users have an HD webcam.
According to announcement of Skype’s officials, on the heels of the update to Skype 5.2 for Mac OS X, the company is pleased to offer more improvements to Skype’s Mac client with the introduction of Skype 5.3 for Mac OS X.
Skype released the version 5.2 only one month ago. Even if you do not run Mac OS X Lion, the Skype’s client version 5.3 is now compatible with previous versions.
As for the features provided by the software, they include group screen sharing and group video calling for an extra cost. Recently Skype was integrated into Facebook’s social networking web site.
