NTELOS Holdings Corp. has officially stated that the company plans to combine NTELOS Wireline and FiberNet in one new brand at one time with the separation of the NTELOS’s wireline operations to the new publicly-traded company.
The company plans launching new brands at the same time in four markets: Charleston, WV; Waynesboro, VA; Covington, VA; and Daleville, VA. The launch is scheduled for early September 2011.

According to the company’s officials, after researching and due diligence the Board of Directors has finally approved Lumos Networks Corp. as the final name of the new wireline company. Lumos Networks will operate under the same major values as NTELOS. NTELOS Wireless will keep the NTELOS name and will provide nationwide wireless data and voice services.

The new brand represents a tradition of delivering leading technology to the company’s customers, it demonstrates the company’s commitment to the investments in people, network and technologies in order to lead the way to a better future. The change to Lumos Networks allows company creating a stronger identity for wireline business.
