 Orange Business Increases Network Coverage in Latin America

A France Telecom unit, Orange Business, considers Latin America as one of the growth areas for the company’s multinational corporations (MNCs). The company has recently announced its plans to increase network coverage in the country by ten times.
Starting from October 2011, Orange plans to extend its network capacity and service in five major cities in Chile and Brazil, followed by Peru, Argentina and Panama.
With this network upgrade, the company will broaden its suite of services: MPLS (IP VPN and Business VPN), Telepresence videoconferencing service and International Ethernet Link.
The new network extensions are possible through a new network ring connecting Latin America with the East Coast of the US via Brazil and with the West Coast of the US via Chile.
Orange has a wide presence in the region: 122 points of presence in 31 countries across Latin America.
