 Glowpoint Announced Enhancements to Hosted Telepresence

Glowpoint, a cloud-based videoconferencing service provider, has state about new enhancements to the company’s managed video services for Cisco Systems telepresence equipment users.
Among the enhancements is a hosted Cisco telepresence infrastructure that includes the Cisco TelePresence Video Communications Server (VCS), TelePresence Server MSE 8710, Video communications Expressway and Cisco TelePresence Movi for mobile telepresence.
This hosted infrastructure offering provides Cisco TelePresence with a more flexible and affordable way to extend video coverage to remote workers instead of buying and installing new hardware for different locations.
Glowpoint supports interoperability through the Telepresence Interoperability Protocol; it empowers a managed UC gateway based on the Cisco VCS.
The UC gateway connects telepresence systems with UC apps from Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya and others.
