 Telefonica Announced Restructuring operations and Focusing on Online Business

Telefonica, a Spanish telecom giant, has announced that the company restructures its operations with the plans to support the development of Telefonica’s online business and get efficiency as surging costs are threatening company’s profit goals.
Telefonica is a significant player in 25 countries and the second-largest telecom company across Europe by market value after the UK's Vodafone.
Telefonica’s officials commented that the company will create a new unit - Telefonica Digital – that will be responsible for online businesses.
The new unit will include Social networking site Tuenti, Internet portal Terra, Internet telephony provider Jajah and other businesses.
Telefonica claimed one more change: the cmpany’s underperforming domestic unit, Telefonica Espana, is planned to be absorbed by company’s Europe unit.
