22 September 2011

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), the largest electronics and IT trade facilitation body in India, has officially announced that the association will be tapping the growing Middle East market.
The trade association intends to enhance the participation of Indian companies in the 2011 Internet Show that will be held on September 27th and 28th, 2011 in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the plan, ESC will have an INDIAN Pavilion in order to assist the Indian IT companies to penetrate into the growing IT market in Gulf.
This is part of the association’s proactive policy to reveal newer destinations for IT exports.
The Middle East region represents a huge IT market. At the present time the UAE spends $11.4 billion on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and the figure will be increased to $14.8 billion by 2011.
Abu Dhabi represents a gateway for tapping growing Middle East, Asia, Africa and European markets.
