Carousel Industries, the provider of UC solutions, has announced that the company had successfully completed the deployment of a turnkey solution for a mission critical U.S. Navy telecommunications system.
The company has implemented its communications and collaborations solution for the maintenance of the US Navy’s Consolidated Area Telephone System (CATS). The CATS network represents an integrated digital communications system; it is critical to the San Diego military environment. This network delivers critical communications services to governmental and military personnel; therefore, it is important to maintain it operational at a minimum of 99.9% of the time during peacetime, training, natural disasters and conflicts.
To guarantee the success of ongoing maintenance of the network, the company has deployed 11 dedicated technical resources that are located on different bases in San Diego. Carousel is responsible for the maintenance of CATS’switch, infrastructure and cable; moreover, it is also responsible to provide adds, moves and changes for PBX and LEC dial tone services.
