 Vidyo Received $22.5 Million Funding

Vidyo Inc. soon will be able to roll out more telepresence and cloud-based broadcast solutions. The company has announced that it had received a $22.5 million Series D round of funding, so that the total amount of capital increased to $97 million.
The company has stated in the press release that its investors, Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures, Star Ventures and Four Rivers Group have taken part in the round that was led by QuestMark Partners.
The company will likely use this money for further expansion of sales and marketing activities in order to meet the global market requirement for higher quality, scalability and flexibility of telepresence systems.
The company has already received 9 patents; 27 patents are pending for Vidyo’s innovative VidyoRouter platform.
Vidyo won the 2011 Best of Interop Award for Collaboration, as well as the Frost and Sullivan Enterprise Video Conferencing Infrastructure Award; it is a two-time stand out on the "Next Big Thing" list, Wall Street Journal.
