 CounterPath Announced Integration with BroadWorks Platform

CounterPath Corporation has officially stated that the company will offer a complete voice, messaging, presence and video offering for the major desktop and mobile OSs. Moreover, the company has announced integration with BroadWorks platform from BroadSoft through the implementation of the major features leveraging BroadSoft's Xtended Services Interface (XSI).
With extending video support to the smartphones and tablets, CounterPath occupies a unique position in the market. CounterPath’s users with supported mobile devices will be able to launch Bria softphone app, check the availability and status of contacts, send an IM or SMS/text message as well as launch a voice call and video call from anywhere.
The latest integration with BroadSoft's Xtended Services Interface (XSI) provides end-users with key features and settings that are accessible from the Bria desktop and mobile softphone apps. Among the supported features there are: remote office; simultaneous ring; BroadWorks anywhere; call forwarding/DND; contact and call history.
According to the company’s officials, the video empowered version of Bria for iPhone is expected to be available later this fall; the Android and iPad versions will come in early 2012.
