Rel Comm, a telecoms systems provider, has recently announced that the company had partnered with school districts; Rel Comm helps schools and IT directors to leverage Phybridge’s Uniphyer to benefit from its flexibility and scalability and reduce costs.
The Uniphyer from Phybridges utilizes existing cable and telephony infrastructure empowering schools to create an IP network for data and voice, as well as allows convergence with LAN.
Moreover, the Uniphyer eliminates the necessity in expensive on-premise equipment; the solution is simple and easy-to-use. With Uniphyer schools can keep voice and data networks separate.
Among the major features there are: an independent PVN for VoIP; PoE and Ethernet over single pair; up to 5 times the standard Ethernet reach; centralized UPS management; QoS; risk-free and predictable IPT deployment; Plug and Play; VoIP vendor and protocol agnostic; powers IEEE 802.3af compliant IP phones; 24 and 48 port units; scalable; rack mountable; SNMP manageable.
Rel Comm installed the Uniphyer VoIP enabler already in 8 school districts and 2 senior living facilities; in the company’s plans there are further 12 districts.
