Concert Technologies, a privately-held technology service company, has received a contract with the federal General Services Administration that could be worth $5 billion as it provides US government agencies with telecoms, network and communications solutions in order to meet equipment, building and campus infrastructure requirements.
Under the terms of Connections II contract, the Dulles, CDW-G, Dell, Telcordia, Johnson Controls, BCCP Consulting, Panduit, SuprTEK, Ventraq and Aquilent will help the federal government acquire and implement technology in order to lower costs and transform business processes.
The federal government reworks its mixture of technology. It has adopted cloud applications like Google Apps for Government along with other collaboration tools to cut costs. Moreover, it has moved information to the cloud in order to cut opex and capex.
"Connections II will use the Concert team's deployment and support networks to meet customer's requirements and to implement solutions with secure supply chain, high quality and real efficiency.
