FiberLight, one of leading providers of fiber optic networks, has officially announced that the company paves the way for North Georgia Networks in order to reach the world along 108 miles of FiberLight's fiber optic backbone.
As officials stated ,FiberLight will connect a segment of own robust network in Alpharetta with NGN's 1,000-mile network in order to provide a secure and diverse network from North Georgia to metro Atlanta, to connect NGN to 56 Marietta that represents a Telx facility in Atlanta.
The 56 Marietta location serves as home to 35,000 connections between service providers, carriers and enterprises. The Telx facility offers carrier neutral access to providers that can carry North Georgia Networks beyond the Southeast.
The $42 million broadband infrastructure project can reach 9,200 businesses, 42,000 households and 245 institutions in North Georgia region, including government facilities, public schools, universities and hospitals.
