 Mobile TeleSystems Deployed Harmony Mobile Internet Services Gateway from Flash Networks

Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), a telecoms operator in Russia and the CIS countries, has officially announced that the company had deployed Harmony Mobile Internet Services Gateway from Flash Networks in order to optimize the volume of mobile data traffic.
According to Flash Networks officials, Harmony empowers MTS to optimize up to 90% of company’s mobile Internet traffic, including video and web apps, as well as to deliver complete data services to company’s subscribers.
Moreover, this deployment will empower MTS to shorten content and Web page download time as well as increase mobile Internet speed.
Harmony from Flash Networks optimizes video and other mobile data and allows fast downloads irrespective of mobile devices used to access the Internet. The devices can be a PC via 3G-modem, tablet or mobile phone.
Harmony provides a special buffering mechanism that allows users watching video streams as they load with no need to download the entire video.
The solution was integrated in MTS’ network together with the Russian system integrator Technoserv.
