 West Corporation Acquires HyperCube

West Corporation, a provider of voice and data offerings, has recently announced that the company had entered into an agreement to purchase HyperCube, a provider of switching services to telecoms carriers in the US.
HyperCube interconnects or exchanges communications traffic to various carriers, including wireline, wireless, cable telephony and VoIP companies.
With this acquisition West Corporation will enhance its position as a leading provider of mission-critical voice, video and data communications services and apps.
West will use HyperCube's network and technology in order to deliver enhanced service offerings in IP interconnections, mobility and UCs.
The combination of West Corporation and HyperCube will empower clients to develop and provide mobility and next generation IP-based offerings such as device-to-device apps, hosted telephony and network services, and secure private voice and data network offerings.
The acquisition will be completed at the first quarter of 2012.
