 DSP Group Announced Acquisition of BoneTone Communications

DSP Group, a provider of wireless chipset solutions, has announced company’s plans to acquire BoneTone Communications, a company that offers enhanced chip solutions for redefining audio quality and voice intelligibility.
With this acquisition, DSP Group can extend its operations within the growing global market of mobile devices.
DSP Group’s SEO said: “The acquisition of BoneTone enables us to differentiate and expand our product portfolio, as well as strengthen our leadership in converged communications. By leveraging our product development abilities, marketing infrastructure and broad customer base, we expect BoneTone’s innovative solutions to generate growth in several areas. BoneTone’s focus on the mobile phone industry further opens the door to an expanding market with long-term growth potential.”
DSP Group partnered with BoneTone two years ago; later the company received an equity stake in BoneTone, including an option to purchase its remaining shares within a period of 24 months.
The new acquisition is valued at about $10 million.
