CDN Akamai has announced that the company had agreed to purchase Cotendo for $268 million.
Akamai was competing with AT&T and Juniper Networks for the company that has been for sale since Akamai filed suit against it.
Akamai will purchase all of the outstanding equity of Cotendo for a net cash payment of about $268 million, after expected purchase price adjustments, plus the assumption of outstanding invested options to buy Cotendo common stock.
The completion of the deal is expected for the first half of 2012.
