Intelecom, a contact center solution provider, has announced that the company plans to integrate its “Connect”, a hosted telephony contact management portal, with IBM’s SmartCloud for Social Business.
According to company officials, the integration can provide users of the IBM Cloud Collaboration Service with access to carrier-grade voice telephony along with the ability to place outgoing calls directly from contact profile or record, and contact list views.
The addition of voice capabilities to SmartCloud can notably enhance the functions of the collaboration tool. “This is a tremendous opportunity to help organizations save money and drive innovation.”
SmartCloud for Social Business from IBM represents a suite of cloud-based business networking and collaboration services such as social networking, online meetings, IM, file sharing, data visualization and email.
“Connect” represents a combined cloud-based multi-channel contact center and switchboard app that offers advanced call functionality and real-time visibility.
As company stated, the first phase of integration will provide SmartCloud for Social Business users with access to the “Connect Lite” app offering additional functionality: visibility of main management information and distribution of incoming calls.
