Openreach and ADVA Optical Networking Announced Launching New OSA Service Openreach and ADVA Optical Networking Announced Launching New OSA ServiceOpenreach and ADVA Optical Networking Announced Launching New OSA Service

2 February 2012

Openreach, an infrastructure division of BT Group, and ADVA Optical Networking, have officially announced launching a new Optical Spectrum Access (OSA) service.
The optical Spectrum Access service represents a part of Openreach's Optical Spectrum Service (OSS) portfolio; it provides the UK's enterprise customers with new levels of network connectivity that is capable of answering increasingly demanding business requirements.
The OSA service is built on the FSP 3000; enterprises are now able to transport huge amounts of data across the UK with much enhanced latency, encryption and security.
The new OSA service offers dedicated single and resilient point-to-point optical fiber links across the UK. The service accommodates various interfaces and deploys the same low-latency technology used widely in many financial trading networks.
The OSA service is configured to specific networking demands; it accommodates an extensive range of protocols and service interfaces. The service has been built with the purpose to move large amounts of data more securely, faster and farther.
