 ITEXPO: Patton Introduced New SmartNode 10200 VoIP Media Gateway Series

At ITEXPO Patton has introduced its new high-capacity SmartNode 10200 VoIP media gateway series designed specifically for large enterprises and carriers.
The new representative of Patton’s SmartNode family can support up to 2048 voice or fax calls and provide T1/E1, DS3 or STM-1/OC3 trunks with SS7 signaling.
With addition of a high-capacity solution for 512-to-2048 VoIP or T.30/T.38 fax calls in a 2U form factor, this announcement extends company’s SmartNode portfolio far beyond company’s former 2-to-120-call range.
Carriers can now use the SN10200 to provide concurrently high-density SIP/H.248 and classic TDM/SS7 voice and fax services. When the SN20100 is deployed as core, edge or peer-interchange equipment, it enables carrier to migrate legacy service networks toward IP-centric architectures.
The SN10200 can interconnect iPBX and traditional phone systems to provide high-volume SIP trunking with constant performance levels up to 90 completed calls per second. The SN 10200 provides transcoding between all voice codecs and signaling protocols and guarantees seamless interoperation with all popular softswitches.
