Vodafone Group Thinks Over Acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide | |

According to Bloomberg, Vodafone Group, is considering an acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide.
Vodafone spokesperson commented that “any move for the service provider would be a cash deal, but emphasized that it may decide to not to buy the company at all.”
Bloomberg reported that Vodafone Group could offer up to $1.09 billion for C&W.
Two CEOs left Cable & Wireless last year. C&W represents an attractive purchase due its assets, including company’s UK-based core fiber network.
London trading for Cable & Wireless raised 45% Monday and closed at a three-month high of 45 cents. Vodafone witnessed a 1% rise to $2.72 per share.
