 Mitel Announced Expansion of Its Cloud-Based UC Services in US

Mitel, a UC provider, has recently announced that the company had been certified as a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in all 50 US states and the District of Columbia.
In the US, a CLEC is a telephone company that competes with established local telephone business by offering its own network and switching.
Mitel NetSolutions, the company’s service provider division, has made updates to the AnyWare hosted cloud-based communications service. Updates include mobile integration targeted at helping small enterprises use advantages of a mobile workforce.
With company’s expansion, Mitel NetSolutions will be able to serve as a single-point communications provider for small businesses across the US.
According to the company officials, business advantages of Mitel’s offering “include reductions in customer equipment costs, while also designed to provide greater reliability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities.”
Mitel AnyWare provides customers with access to cloud-based UC and mobility features, removing the necessity in premise-based call control equipment; it aims to reduce the total cost of ownership for small businesses.
