 The Z-Wave Alliance Announced Addition of Verizon as Alliance Member

The Z-Wave Alliance, the open consortium of companies promoting Z-Wave as the standard in wireless home control, has officially announced the addition of Verizon as the new Alliance member.
Verizon has joined a list of industry leaders in the Z-Wave Alliance: 2Gig Technologies, Evolve Guest Controls, Danfoss, Fakro, Ingersoll Rand, Sigma Designs, and Jasco Products.
The Z-Wave Alliance officials commented, "This membership is an extension of our partnership that was formed with the debut of Verizon's connected home products last year. We look forward to continuing this partnership as Verizon extends its home control offerings."
Verizon rolled out its connected home solution, Verizon Home Monitoring and Control that deploys Z-Wave in October 2011. Thus, Verizon offers various home monitoring and energy management capabilities empowered by Z-Wave technology that provides a cohesive experience across platforms.
