 BT Selected GENBAND to Support Global IP Interconnect Solution

GENBAND, one of leading developers of IP infrastructure and application solutions, has officially stated that BT, one of leading communications services companies, had chosen GENBAND to support BT’s enhanced Global IP Interconnect solution for company’s UK and its wholesale customers.
BT will deploy GENBAND solutions to provide SIP-based IP Interconnect for other tier 1 and tier 2 carriers. Additionally to support of UK and global network access, the solution will also support Global interconnect and IDD.
BT plans to deploy GENBAND’s G9 Converged Media Gateways, S3 Intelligent SBC, and C3 Gateway Controllers that provide access to the PSTN, as well as guarantee secure IP interconnects and enable transcoding.
This combined GENBAND Interconnect solution interfaces with NetNumber’s Titan centralized routing solution in order to apply policies to guarantee route quality and profitability.
