27 February 2012

According to the recent reports, Apple has decided to put in use company’s nearly $100 billion cash reserve purchasing app discovery service Chomp.
The giant company Apple sells applications while Chomp makes finding apps easier. It is expected that “Apple can eventually integrate some of Chomp’s functionality into a revamped App Store search system.”
The App Store offers so many applications that usually it is difficult to find what you’re looking for. Chomp organizes applications by function. Therefore, when you’re looking for a VoIP app, make search for “VoIP apps” and receive more appropriate results than you would by searching in the App Store. The service lists free, discounted apps, and trending apps.
Chomp has apps for iOS and Android, and a website that allows you searching for applications on both platforms. Chomp has a deal with Verizon to power the carrier’s app-based searches, so may be curious to see how the situation turns out.
According to the source reports, “the Android features will hang around until the acquisition is complete and the team has been integrated into Apple.”
