 Colombian’s UNE Selected Convergys to Support Groundbreaking 4G Services

Convergys Corporation has officially stated that Colombia's UNE, a provider of integrated IP telephony, mobile, broadband, voice, video and other telecom services, had selected Convergys to support its 4G services in real-time. Under the terms of the agreement, Convergys Corporation will provide managed services for real-time convergent platform at UNE.
UNE is the first in Latin America to launch 4G network over LTE Advance that empowers mobile devices to exchange data at 100 megabits/second, much faster data speed than speeds available on 3G networks.
UNE was looking for a solution “with demonstrated flexibility and the ability to handle the complexity of real-time convergent services.” Convergys convergent platform demonstrated all the required functionality: the platform can accommodate new service like 4G-LTE, as well as support convergent service demands in real-time, and assist UNE to speed its offers to market.
Additionally, Convergys' solution provides proven revenue assurance, which is necessary for providers offering real-time services; it integrates well with UNE's architecture model as well.
