MACH’s top Inter-Standard Roaming or ISR Solution has been used in the successful launch of Visafone’s pre-paid roaming service for CDMA subscribers. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top provider of hub-based mobile communication solutions, MACH. Visafone is Nigeria’s fastest growing mobile network operator.

Access to international roaming on GSM networks and other wireless technologies will be now provided by Visafone to more than three million mostly pre-paid customers. MACH has confirmed its top position in the pre-paid roaming market by signing up another network operator.

Delivering seamless connectivity worldwide for both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers has been the aim of network operators. Customer experience will therefore be improved. Churn will be reduced and roaming revenues will also be increased.

Only seamless connectivity for post-paid subscribers is delivered by traditional inter-standard roaming solutions. However, both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers are provided by the unique MACH’s ISR managed service solution. Apart from offering an efficient and value added approach for CDMA operators, new revenue opportunities are also unlocked. Customers are therefore provided service continuity whilst travelling.

In a release, Mr. R. Balachandran, MD and CEO, Visafone said, “One of Visafone’s stated goals is to be the pre-eminent and most customer focused telecom operator in Nigeria. Part of the plan to achieve this is the emphasis on seamless and efficient services that will ensure the best clarity and the widest coverage. By signing up to MACH’s ISR solution, we are one step closer to achieving this aim.”

According to Tom Heeremans, Regional VP EMEA at MACH, the company is pleased to support Visafone in its business aims. This will also build on the company’s established momentum in the pre-paid outsourced inter-standard roaming market.
