 China Telecom is checking its 100 Gbps optical

China Telecom is jumping on the 100 Gbps WDM ultra long haul optical train.
In union with Huawei and Corning, China Telecom has completed what it says is China's first ultra long haul 100 transmission test over a 3,000 km terrestrial fiber network.
For the 100 Gbps test, China Telecom tested Huawei's OSN 8800 platform and Corning's SMF-28 ULL (ultra-low-loss) fiber.
Similar to other deployments and tests of 100 Gbps WDM, China Telecom tested equipment based on coherent polarization multiplexed quadrature phase-shift keying (PM-QPSK) technology. In addition, China Telecom leveraged C-band 50 GHz spacing and hybrid 100/40G transmission.
