Seamless transition for our company

Posted: Sep 23, 2018
The Good:

The Bad:

Our company transitioned from POTS to VOIP about 2 years ago. The first provider we were using had very poor uptime and performance, so after 3 months we switched to Vonage. We've had no issues or problems with Vonage since we switched to them. Set up was easy. For reference, our company has 17 employees.

VONAGE VOIP Cloud not what it is cracked up to be.

Posted: Sep 14, 2017
The Good:

The Bad:

Prior to joining Vonage Cloud VOIP phone service I verified with Vonage that my IP 501 Polycom phone would work with their system. Vonage assured me it was a phone that would easily work on their system. I also confirmed with Vonage the following price breakdown: $24.99 Service and $10.00 per month for a phone number fee. Price with tax was supposed to be $42.xx. I found out they charged $54.xx on my card. No explanation available from Vonage to why the difference. As for my phone I was told to call tech support to have it programmed. I called and the tech person was clueless to how to set up this particular phone. He told me to call back and talk to another tech the next day. I called and the next tech tried to figure it out, but no luck. I went through 5 tech people who at the end of the day told me to buy a new phone. So I tried to contact Vonage to cancel the service since the phone they told me would work, didn't actually work with their system. I literally had the service for one day. I requested cancellation and it took 4 business days for Vonage to return my request. They told me they would happily cancel my service, but I am not getting a refund. They flat out don't give refunds I was told by the "Account Management Team". So I never had a phone hooked up to their service, was over charged, didn't get a refund and the features discussed were dishonest. The services I was told I would have for free, are actually additional payment services. Not Free. WORST 4 DAY EXPERIENCE WITH A COMPANY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND LOOK OUT FOR HIDDEN CHARGES

Can't cancel via email - Vonage

Posted: Dec 06, 2016
The Good:

The Bad:

Really disappointing experience. I would discourage anyone outside the US from using Vonage. The technician was unable to setup my account and eventually just gave up. I tried to cancel a multiple number of times via email but was unable to. In order to cancel you have to actually call Vonage and speak to their account management team who will try to sell you into staying (impossible to simply do it via email). Given that the time difference where I am is 12 hours this was difficult to do. Even though Vonage could see in writing that I'd attempted to cancel the account back in September - and had never even had the account set up and functioning - they were unable to backdate my cancellation to that point in time. Avoid

Perfect for startups, but BEWARE when you leave - Vonage

Posted: Jul 26, 2016
The Good:

The Bad:

I started using Vonage as a low cost alternative to a BT telephone line when starting my business. It was a fantastic deal that saw my monthly bill drop from something like 80-100 with a Sky/BT telephone line right down to just 20 or less every month for two virtual numbers and a large array of services such as call forwarding, multi-ring between my mobile and the office phone and call hunt features, along with customisable voicemail. We stuck by Vonage for two years before deciding we needed a bit of a beefier system and the Vonage camp couldn't provide this at a competitive price, so we moved to a larger company which had the option available for future expansion, and who would provide us with a VOIP handset as well. The problems have come now that we want to port our numbers away from Vonage, who have made the process somewhat difficult and have not been forthcoming with the information they need, so as a result we've ended up paying two bills for several months instead of Vonage pulling their finger out and cooperating during the porting process for our numbers. Everything else Vonage did was great, but trying to walk away from them is like wrestling from the grip of a dead tree. It's a tough call when you're a small business and you're not sure if you'll succeed in expanding, but my advice to customers looking to use these services is to choose wisely at the start and read A LOT of reviews. For Vonage, frustrating as they've been to deal with, it's still a great low cost optio

Great Customer Service Vonage Business Solutions

The Bad:

Vonage Business Solutions has been absolutely fantastic. The representatives are very knowledgeable and receive a lot of training. They're also very friendly and truly take the time to resolve all of your issues. The system itself is very easy to navigate and has all of the features anyone could need for voip phones. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a voip system.

Highly satisfied! - Vonage Business

The Bad:

I signed up Vonage Business when starting my own law firm. I needed a main line, two extensions, and a conference bridge. Vonage Business provided me with two phones at no cost (a special was running), and the customer service when I needed help with the set-up was excellent! I have been a satisfied customer since January 2014. The law firm I was with prior to starting my firm also used Vonage Business (formerly Vocalocity). I share office space (and Internet access) with another small law firm that uses Ring Central and the amount of problems they have with their phone service (dropped calls, endless can you hear me now? moments, etc.) just makes me shake my head. I keep telling them that I am sure Vonage Business would make it easy for them to switch! I do wish that the conference bridge had a prompt for people to announce themselves when joining the call but other than that I am completely satisfie

Customer service was patient and informative from the very beginning as they explained all the services and costs associated with the services. Additionally, they were very responsive every time I called them to ask questions about set up. Auto attendant is easy to set up and works great. Being able to have our employees in different locations with their VoIP phone allows us to dial an extension or transfer as if we were in the same building. Costs are reasonable for the services received

Best Decision We Ever Made was Switching to Vonage

Posted: Oct 02, 2014
The Good:

The Bad:

Vonage was the best switch we ever made. We use to have another VOIP, RC for short and it was a nightmare. The switch over only took a few days. Also only took a day for the employees to get familiar with the desktop app software. We are saving hundreds a month next to landline. Never ran into any problems after the intial set up, and they have a dedicated line for new customers for the first 90 days to get immediate attention. Overall its been a giant win for the business. Red Flag on Leaving with your Fax #

Posted: Apr 25, 2014
The Good:

The Bad:

When you sign up for Vocalocity it states "cancel when you want" and "no cancellation fees" While Vocalocity service is not completely bad, certain features never got set up correctly. Auto attendant is difficult to adjust if you need a change, phone app never worked, several of the Cisco phone features don't work because of programing etc. Decided to move to Nextiva better tech support, features and for about the same price. Porting got rejected by Vocalocity and in a customer service call, the Tech explained that the faxing is handled by EFax (a J2 Global company). In order to get my fax number back, I must pay an additional $100 "Porting Out fee". They are happy to release all my other local and toll free lines I brought into Vocalocity, but the fee is an EFAX terms of service issue. We signed up my phone service with Vocalocity that explained that fax service would be provided in our account. Calling Efax, explained I could transfer my account away from Vocalocity to a EFAX "consumer account" for $16.95/month but would still have to pay a $40 cancellation fee to get our fax number back. Looking at Google, hundreds of J2 Global customers are complaining about being charged for service long after they cancel, and that they are exempt from US FCC rules. So we don't want to give them our credit card - even for a month. Our business has had phone lines for 22 years and this is the first time we have ever had to pay to get our phone numbers back. Yes, Faxes are obsolete but many customers still use them for documents and POs so we still need to receive them. If their is a Class Action Lawsuit filed against Efax and/or Vocalocity (now a Vonage Company) we will be first in line. Vonage should protect it's customers from 3rd party vendors partnerships it sets up when they go bad. As I said above, I am not completely unhappy with Vocalocity's phone service BUT this incident, charging us to get our phone number back is completely unforgivable. Unless this is resolved I will tell thousands of my current and former customers NOT to use either of these companies (J2 Global and Vonage

Not for more than 3 people and only 1 location

Posted: Oct 23, 2013

The Bad:

My boss was taken in by the sales rep that stated that this was a great service for her and her business. He talked a good talk and she was taken in by this. I run her satelite office, just me, and I have been down for 6 days now. Her other office (has more than 3 people and more than 3 computers) has capability for some things but are still having issues. I am sure this is a great service for EXTRA small businesses or home businesses but do not be fooled by all the stuff they are saying. It does NOT work for multiple locations nor is it compatible with all databases. This has been the most frustrating experience and I hope she will never do this again

Poor service and experience with Vocalocity

Posted: Oct 17, 2013
The Good:

The Bad:

The initial problems they blamed on prior provider. Then they blamed it on the phone. Neither was the source of the problems. Their problem solving capability is very weak. They had problems finding capable techs. Resulting in the need to transfer calls. Calls and email to Vocalocity were often ignored. Although the quality of calls I made were good, the quality of calls I made to Vocalocity were poor. I experience extended and intermittent periods when I could not make or receive calls. There were even long periods when callers could not leave messages. Their philosophy is; the customer is always wrong

The most frustrating part of running the business is Vocalocity.

Posted: Aug 07, 2013
The Good:

The Bad:

There's lots of blame shifting. On at least two occasions, they've emailed letters apologizing for network problems in my area, but then deny that the problems we're experiencing are related. No matter what the issue, its some one else's fault. Some days service is so bad, I've resorted to using my cell phone to make calls. This is no way to run a business. We've been told to keep a log of problems so they can tell us what to tell the internet/ equipment/ consultant. The key here is they can't help, but someone else might be able to. The only solace is when clients point out how bad the phone connection is I tell them that service is provided by Vocalocity

People make the difference @ Vocalocity

Posted: Aug 08, 2012
The Good:

The Bad:

VOIP technology is terrific and provides features that we love - but in deciding which provider, it seems to me that people make the biggest difference. Vocalocity, from sales, to installation, to ongoing support, has impressed me with outstanding personnel. Making the transition from an old premise based, analog system, to a hosted VOIP solution could have been difficult! However, for us, outstanding, personable, effective people at Vocalocity made the difference and the transition has been smooth and easy. We have been very pleased and would recommend Vocalocity to anyone considering VOIP

We are a technology-based company that provides high-tech, customer-focused quality products and solutions, and we expect high quality service from our vendors as well. Vocalocity has met our high expectations, and has allowed us to easily provision communication solutions for our company and our clients. Vocalocity - from a Manhattan, NY customer

Posted: Aug 03, 2012
The Good:

The Bad:

My company has been using Vocalocity for a little over a year now and we have been extremely pleased. We had a lot of problems previously with Verizon, mostly customer service issues, double billing, not billing, getting one answer from one person and then a different answer from the next person you talk to. Final straw was when they cut off service for a day despite the fact we had a credit with the account. One of the primary purposes of moving to Vocalocity was to make sure we could route calls to our cell phones if there were issues with the main line. Until I made the move I didn't realize how much flexibility there could be with the phone service. We really have control of how calls are routed when people call now. Most of the time we let calls just ring through but the ability to route them different ways is great. And we really like the voice-mail feature that emails you when someone leaves a message. The transcription is not always very good but there is an actual audio file attached so you can play the message on your cell phone. Basically you are always aware of who has called you, whether you are in office are not. i was worried how it would affect our internet speed but I have not noticed any deterioration

Vocalocity: Problems Persisted

Posted: Mar 11, 2012
The Good:

The Bad:

Hopefully this review will help someone else from going through what I have... I was a customer of Aptela for 5 + years until Vocalocity bought / merged w/them... In any event the last 6 mths has been a disaster and we just changed to a new provider. Our business is dependent on the phones. I have (2) locations and (2) seperate routers, modems, and internet connections and can attest that it isn't just an IT issue on my side as they will swear up and down when you call for assistance. The frustrating thing w/ this company is their service is poor and yet they will always find a way to blame it on our internet connection, modem, router, switch, etc... I replaced everything to what they recommended and finally they conceded...However, they have cost me THOUSANDS and I can't get a call back... customer service was a joke, I asked to speak to the manager and was told there wasn't one. It seemed like there was a group of young kids running the place and didn't have answers so they would just pass us around. I can't be clearer... I believe if you use this company and you need reliable; phones, customer service, professionalism, and you value your health and business, you should look anywhere but Aptela/Vocalocity. I can also substantiate another review on here I saw wherein the reviewer stated the customer service techs will assert various things relating to the technology at one's office, but yet they aren't qualified. Several times I had qualified VOIP techs on site who said these people were making unfounded claims and in several instances they were very contradictory. I'd be happy to expound to anyone who has further questions regarding how poor our experience was. I will say the features they offer are great and innovative, they just aren't reliable. Also, my poor experience began in the last 6-8 mths, however, I have been told multiple times it was just a "server" issue or the platform was being transferred. Good luck to all.

Reliability is poor. It is Monday 05/16/2011 13:00 and all of my phones are down. The call to vocalocity's tech supports says it is out of service. This happened last month also. It means three or fours hours of customers not getting through and other problems. This is a very expensive issue for us. After it happened last month, we only received the general apology and some excuse email. No personal contact or direct acknowledgement. We are actively seeking another provider today

Vocalocity: Great PBX

Posted: Aug 06, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

I signed on with Vocalocity over eleven months ago and I did so with some reservations. I had heard that voice over ip call quality was spotty but I was in dire need of a cheaper phone service and needed to make a change. As well I had heard that many hosted-voip providers claimed to have, yet did not have knowledgeable tech support teams. I felt the most comfortable with Vocalocity after talking to them and a number of other providers so I decided to go with them. I did experience some problems at first but those were due to a weak internet connection. After upgrading to a more reliable T1 connection the problems went away and the calls have been great. The phones that we use, the Linksys SPA 942, are easy to use and allow us to utilize the full functionality of the PBX. We really like having the ability to move the phones from location to location without having to reconfigure anything. Since were a small office and have families, working from home happens a lot and this feature makes it possible for us to handle business as usual. We highly recommend Vocalocity to those out there in search of a top of the line business phone service

Vocalocity: huge value add

Posted: Jul 02, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

After the end of last year my company decided that we needed to re-evaluate our overhead expenses due to the down economy. One of the top priorities was our phone system. A number of us were familiar with voip and believed that the technology had improved to the point such that you could not notice a difference between a voip connection and a traditional phone connection. We shopped around and found Vocalocity to be the best fit for us. Since we only have thirteen employees in the office we knew that a hosted solution would be the best, which Vocalocity offers. As well, we are in and out of the office a good deal, so having features like follow me and voicemail to email are crucial to us conducting business. Vocalocity has added a great deal of value to our small company and I believe that it can do the same for many others

Since most of our jobs are locally based we frequently have clients calling the office and coming in. Since we cannot afford a secretary/office assistant we needed to find a phone system that could route calls for us; Vocalocity was the solution we came to. We looked at a number of voip providers such as Packet8 and Nextiva, but neither of them offered the full range of service that Vocalocity offered. Since signing up with Vocalocity we have seen a great cost savings from the service and it has not caused us a single headache. Our biggest reservation was that voip call quality was sub-par to that of traditional phone lines. This problem has not presented itself once; our call quality has been great. We highly recommend Vocalocity to any small business owner who is in the market for a new phone service

Vocalocity: Great phone system

Posted: Jun 25, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Over 2 years ago I signed up for VoIP phone service with Aptela. At first the service worked alright with only a dropped call here and there. After about three months I began to experience a large amount of dropped and static-filled calls. I repeatedly called Aptela for help and got the stereotypical run-around of different people to call for a couple of weeks before I actually got the problem resolved. Well the same problem happened all over again which made me decide to cut ties with Aptela. Before I discontinued my service I did my homework to make sure that I had found a suitable replacement service and that turned out to be Vocalocity. The salespeople whom I spoke with were very knowledgeable and in no rush to force a service down my throat that I had no need for. I have been with Vocalocity for about 15 months now and could not be more pleased. The service is reliable and if you ever do encounter a problem, the support staff is incredibly helpful getting it resolved. Vocalocity is a great option if you are in need of an affordable phone system

Vocalocity rocks!

Posted: May 18, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Vocalocity has exceeded our expectations. Everything has worked as expected; setup has been simple; the sound quality is amazing. VoIP hosted PBX should sound the death knell for the big phone companies in terms of what they can offer a small business. ATandT was charging a fortune and providing us with 3 lines that roll--a typical small business scenario. With Vocalocity, every extension has the capability to handle 4 calls at a time, voice mail goes to email, we can transfer calls, etc., etc. And all that at a fraction of what ATandT has been charging us. Everyone at Vocalocity has been helpful. It took just one week for our number to be ported. New phones have arrived extremely quickly. We just could not be happier with everything. I've read a number of bad reviews and can only assume that--if things were as bad as those reviews painted it, then Vocalocity has really stepped it up. I have nothing bad to say--at all

Vocalocity: New Dashboard Feature is Great

Posted: Apr 20, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

I said I would never write a review but I just had to after this morning. Vocalocity introduced a new dashboard for all of its customers this morning and it is awesome. I can monitor all of my extensions activity and who each line is connected to. It is a great new feature that I can already tell will help us further streamline our sales-force. I can now manage my people so much more efficiently by being able to monitor activity in REAL TIME! I love the new feature, cant wait for more to come! andnbsp

Vocalocity: Killer savings with these guys

Posted: Apr 08, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

We used to have an in-house PBX at our law firm and it broke Seeing as how we had not looked at the thing in years and really did not know what to do with it we decided to re-evaluate our phone system. After considering the options we decided that VoIP was the way to go for cost savings and after a little more digging we found that some providers even host the hardware, how brilliant! Vocalocity had a solid sales pitch and we got exactly what they told us they would give us; a reliable and up to date phone system at a minimal cost. It took us a long time to realize how much we were wasting with our old system, so if you sound like you might be in a similar situation, check Vocalocity out.andnbsp

Go with Vocalocity

Posted: Apr 08, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Vocalocity is just great. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and they did not try to sell me anything beyond what I needed. I liked the fact that they let me demo the user interface, some other providers would not let me do that which seemed suspicious. The pricing is good and comparable to its competitors but I see value in the features and the quality service, I am very happy with Vocalocity

Great service with Vocalocity

Posted: Apr 08, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

I started a health products distributorship about three years ago and chose Packet8 as my phone solution. That was a huge mistake. I changed over to Vocalocity about ten months ago and all my phone systems headaches have gone away as a result. I am always able to get tech support when I need it and the system is extremely easy to use (big plus for someone who is not tech savvy). I have a DSL internet connection, which I thought was going to cause some problems but it has worked just fine with the system, I would highly recommend Vocalocity to any small business owner

The Good:

The Bad:

We have Vocalocity for over a 2 years allready, recently we experianced terable cutoffs, brakings in the lins and overall bad voice quality. The strange part is that it start happening sudanly even we haven't changed anything on our rauther, firewall or settings, so it's clearly somethign on thair side. We ware more then happy with them wile was working and today everithing again seams to be back in normal. So I have no idea what was it neider people from Vocalocity new, thay tried to blaim it a little bit on our ISP provider and Firewall company but it wasn't thair fold as thay didn't changed anything, and we indeed received couple emails from Vocalocity that clearly indicate thay are workingon software and hardware updates. So since we are back in normal now, we will stick with Vocalocity but if again we have autage taht is month long we will eb looking for diferent provider.andnbsp

Vocalocity: reliable service

Posted: Mar 30, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

I run an IT support service out of my home and only require one phone to conduct business. To illustrate the scope of my business, I will have at most, two calls on hold at a time but even that is not too common. While I am not on the phone all of the time, I have to say that when I need to use it Vocalocity has made the small business phone system a snap. I can manage the auto-attendant with ease and despite not using all of the features; the ones that I do use are extremely valuable to me. Overall the service is reliable and the calls are always clear, Vocalocity knows what its doing

We are very happy with Vocalocity

The Good:

The Bad:

My husband and I are design consultants who work primarily out of our home. We have a portion of the house devoted to work and actually have a couple of employees who come to work with us each day. Since we are based out of a residence we were initially concerned with what customers would think about calling our home for work matters. So we looked at a few options and ended up with Vocalocity. For a year now we have been using the service and we are pleased. The phones were extremely easy to set up and we make and receive calls as if we were using a traditional phone system. Vocalocity gave us the image that we needed at a cheap price without requiring us to change our business at all, it has been great

Great phone service

Posted: Mar 30, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

We switched to Vocalocity after having spent a number of months of trying tirelessly to run our business over Comcastandrsquo;s andldquo;Business Classandrdquo; phone solution. We did a good bit of shopping before hand in order to ensure that we were not going to have another ordeal like we did with Comcast. I was told to ask small business VoIP providers about their historical track records in the VoIP field. With VoIP being so new it is easy to find a large number of providers who do not have the experience necessary to support businesses, no matter how small they may be, and Vocalocity came through as one of the most qualified in terms of historical performance. I have been happy with the decision thus far and plan to add on a few more lines in the near future

Vocalocity: Great Option

Posted: Feb 25, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Vocalocity is a good hosted VoIP phone solution. I have used a number of providers over the years, including the likes of Aptela, Nextiva, Phone Power, Packet8 and a few others. I have used all of these services for a period of time because I have a tech blog where I compare various technologies and one day I had the urge to start a Business VoIP review section in my blog. I have to say that the experience with Vocalocity, from beginning to end, was overall the best. It was kind of a test, they had no clue that I was signing up for the purpose of reviewing their company, but they passed. The other companies were not all that bad but Vocalocity had them beat in customer service and timeliness

Vocalocity: After 2 years, we're sticking with!

Posted: Feb 24, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

We have been with Vocalocity for two and a half years now and have experienced some ups and downs, but we stuck with them. My wife and I who run a business out of our home can say that Vocalocity has made great strides to improve its service over the years and that it is now just as reliable as any standard phone service provider. With the strength of modern internet connections it has become rare for us to ever have a dropped call or poor sound quality. The service is also feature rich which allows you to structure the system in a way that fits your company best, we absolutely love it. andnbsp

Vocalocity: Reliability Triumphs

Posted: Feb 23, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

I recently started my own event planning company out in Milburn New Jersey, and because I consider myself to be "technologically unadvanced" I left setting up my phone system until the last minute fearing all the problems that would come with the set up. My husband recommended that I use a Hosted VoIP service instead of an in-house PBX. This meant nothing to me, so I took his advice and chose Vocalocity and couldn't be happier. I get featured upgrades for free, there is no boxed service, and I don't have to worry about the hassle of it breaking. I cannot even begin to tell you how this has helped lessen my daily stress load. On top of the ease of use, I also get unlimited calling for 39.99 a month. In my business, where calling clients and companies far and wide is pertinent, this feature is a huge bonus. Now I just have to worry about unreliable customers, not an unreliable phone system

Vocalocity is heads Above the Rest-Their Video is Right on!

Posted: Feb 23, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Being technology challenged I was nervous about setting up my VoIP service and voiced my worries to the folks at Vocalocity before committing to their service.I found their video on YouTube, showing how they could set up 5 phones under 15 minutes. They said since I was a novice, I could at the very least set up my two phones in under 15 minutes. I was skeptical, but the process was so basic and easy. It took me no longer than 7 minutes to set up; I timed it. Since using Vocalocity I have had no major problems and I know that maybe it is because I have a T-1 connection, apparently the best type for VoIP, but I could not be happier. I recommend giving this service a try; if I can set it up problem free, I know that you can as well

Vocalocity: Cutting Costs Not Quality

Posted: Feb 23, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

As a small business owner I am always looking to cut costs, as long as doing so does not affect the quality of my business. I own a small market- research firm in Philadelphia and have begun to feel the pinch of the recession. In looking at where I could cut back, I stumbled upon Vocalocity's hosted pbx. The automated attendant feature seemed to be an easy way for me to save money by using the auto-attendant to route client calls to my staff. I was initially nervous to use this automated service in place of a human secretary, but can honestly tell you that my experience so far has been problem free

Vocalocity: Have NO problems

Posted: Feb 23, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

When I was getting ready to launch my web-based design firm, I was looking to buy a phone system that could make a two room office with a couple of desks and drafting tables to appear to be a full-fledged design firm. I searched around a great deal and found a number of providers that could provide this solution. After weighing the benefits and actually talking to representatives at each of the companies that I was deciding between I chose Vocalocity. The reps that I spoke to there were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable about their product/service. With our three lines we are able to handle all of our calls and clients effectively and efficiently, Vocalocity can be a great solution to any phone system problems that you may have

Great Value

Posted: Feb 18, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

My strategic consulting firm employs fifteen extensions from Vocalocity. All of our end users claim that the phone system is simple to use and reliable. We enjoy the simplicity of the system due to the fact that all of us wear many hats in the organization and having to worry about a phone system is just an unnecessary stress. We have experienced one small outage over our year of service with Vocalocity but it was not significant enough to impact our operations during that period of time. Overall, Vocalocity is a great way to reduce your costs and your in house responsibilities

Vocalocity: Awesome Hosted Phone Service

Posted: Feb 18, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

Vocalocity is simply awesome, the service is great and the price is unbeatable. The company does not charge for each additional feature which makes keeping up with billing an ease, a huge problem that we experienced with our previous provider. We use a T1 connection in our office which makes our phones as reliable as our Internet connection; it never goes down. We have been happy with Vocalocity and feel that most any other small business would be too

Vocalocity: Pleasantly Surprised

Posted: Feb 18, 2009
The Good:

The Bad:

In PR you are always being forced to multi-task.I work in a small firm, and when my boss told me we were switching to a Hosted VoIP service, I told him I had heard that this type of service had a whole host of problems such as having to constantly restart the phone, loosing contacts on the phone, in order to reconnect to their network if it does connect, or having the network drop the line entirely.Regardless of my warnings our company switched toVocalocity and surprisingly we have had no problems. We have unlimited calling, and my favorite feature is the voice-mail to e-mail.This included feature is a life-saver for me, my voice mail is transcribed into text and sent to my e-mail so that I can check it while on the phone or in a press conference. andnbsp

Vocalocity: cheap/good service

Posted: Dec 01, 2008
The Good:

The Bad:

I chose Vocalocity for the price and I have not been let down. I know that a lot of people think that a cheaper price many times means poorer service, with Vocalocity it is quite the contrary. I only have a couple of lines and because of that can save a lot of money by having my PBX hosted. However, my business were to grow to say, over 100 employees then it would be more cost effective for me to own my own PBX, but I will never have nearly that many employees. All and all their service is strong and reliable and I would recommend them to anyone working in a small business
