Alaris Labs enriches the functions of its inVoice billing system to meet the needs of Asian telecom markets. From now on the system allows carriers fully meet the requirements of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in terms of reporting structure and call flow charging peculiarities.

This year Bangladesh telecommunication market receives over 40 new IGW and ICX licenses and the new carriers need to comply with strict rules BTRC applies to the telecom players. These rules include special types of reports on traffic and cash flows a carrier needs to present to BTRC, as well as support of specific call charges diagram. Alaris inVoice allows doing both the items with ease.

The system contains a versatile report builder tool which allows compiling any type of report based on any data present in the data base with the ability to plan the execution and delivery time of the report. This tool is the basis for the BTRC reports which might include information about traffic processed by a carrier (with active rates, call volumes, margin values, etc.) and can be delivered to the regulation authority on a schedule basis.

Another tool that helps to adjust to the Bangladesh market requirements is automatic CDR rerating and recalculation instrument. For IGW carriers this tool becomes of the highest importance since it helps correctly deal with a situation when IGW carriers physically receives traffic from underlying ICX but needs to bill an ANS carrier that originated the call; in some cases within the call flow there is no marker of which ANS originated the call (e.g.: no ANS related technical prefix is supplied) and the information about the name of the ANS for a bunch of calls is supplied at the end of the reporting period. Alaris inVoice is able to automatically import such delayed reports and recalculate the CDRs accordingly in order to identify the real originator of the call to bill. This process is done in the background and is transparent for the system administrator.
