SAN JOSE, Calif. — December 14, 2009 —NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQGM: NTGR) a worldwide provider of technologically innovative, branded networking solutions, today announced that its newest Cable Gateway, the CG3200D Wireless-N Voice/Data Cable Gateway, achievedDOCSIS® 3.0 certification in CableLabs® Certification Wave 71.The CG3200D delivers DOCSIS 3.0 service via four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 802.11n wireless. The resulting data rates of up to 160 Mbpsdownstream and 120 Mbps upstream enable cable operators to deliver advanced service offerings to residential and Small- to Medium-sized Business (SMB) customers.

NETGEAR's certified CG3200Dis future-proof with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)and is also fully backwards-compatible with IPv4 and DOCSIS 2.0 and 1.1. Itsupports remote management and provisioning, simple plug-in installation, and post-installation manageability with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). In addition, it offersfour Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.11n wireless so users can take full advantage of their high-speed WAN connections for enjoying the broadest spectrum of multimedia, file sharing, multimedia conferencing, video streaming, downloads, high performance gaming and music.
