Bandwidth.com Has Signed a Commercial Deal with Verizon
| |
22 January 2011
Bandwidth.com, a business VoIP provider, has stated that the company has signed a contract with Verizon to terminate companies’ VoIP traffic with a rate of $0.0007 per minute.
The deal demonstrates what two VoIP players wish to pay for VoIP termination on landlines. The companies might pressure the rest of the industry to reduce prices on termination fees. The new contract provides the businesses with certainty about costs for the traffic.
The deal with Verizon offers Bandwidth.com the opportunity to make business decisions founded on the cost they know so the company receives the possibility to make investments in innovations.
