Skype Started Channel Partner Program in the U.S. | |
14 September 2010
Channel Partner Program was recently created by Skype to help businesses intending to use Skype for their communication and collaboration needs. The purpose of the program is establishing a qualified network of channel partners in the U.S. that can help companies interested in using Skype.
With the Skype Channel Partner Program, partners can receive training, sales and marketing collateral, customer tracking and reporting tools, as well as support and account management from Skype. Being once trained and certified by Skype, partners will provide their own consulting, installation, configuration, maintenance, and support services to business customers that intend to use Skype’s business solutions, including the Skype Business Client, Skype Manager, and Skype Connect.
Channel Partners will assist businesses to set up Skype and to Skype products. For instance, they can assist Skype Manager customers with using and managing the Skype Business Client on desktop or mobile phone via business accounts, or connecting existing PBX or unified communications (UC) systems to Skype. Moreover, partners can not resell any Skype products; all Skype products will be bought directly from Skype.
Skype will also collaborate with manufacturers of the IP-enabled PBX and UC systems that have been certified as interoperable with Skype
