[Shenzhen, China, 4 December 2009] Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, leads the market in global mobile packet core equipment, according to iLocus, a telecom infrastructure consultancy.

The iLocus' report "Mobile Packet Core Equipment", said the phenomenal growth in mobile broadband subscriptions worldwide has resulted in substantial re-engineering of mobile packet core elements. There are various vendors out in the market offering packet core products. Huawei led the market in 1H09 having shipped an estimated 95 million SAU (Simultaneously Attached Users) with a 41.4% market share.
